Title: Loving the streams of Abbott threads Post by Maqqa on Mar 1st, 2012 at 8:17am
Keep going guys - loving it
The ALP leadership circus gave Abbott free publicity and now he's getting more free publicity The more you guys dig in about policies and costings - the more media exposure he gets. This is a good thing. From now until the election all he needs in his kit bag are: (1) Vote out a lying Gillard (2) Vote out a bad government (3) Vote out a bad tax |

Abbotts biggest problems are:
1) He lies more than Gillard. 2) He'd lead a much worse government. Imagine Barnaby Joyce with the keys to the treasury! 3) He'll send us broke by $70 billion a year. Maqqa wrote on Mar 1st, 2012 at 8:17am:

The polls says differently - but of course Gillard's hoping the last 18 months' been one rogue poll after another |

Title: Re: Loving the streams of Abbott threads Post by Doctor Jolly on Mar 1st, 2012 at 8:27am Oh the polls ! Thats all he's got, and he's only got those because he's hiding behind a "no policies" policy. What little policy he has let slip have been unmitigated disasters. $70b disasters. The only polls that count are elections, because then policies are all out in the open. At last count it was Gillard 1, Abbott 0. Maqqa wrote on Mar 1st, 2012 at 8:24am:

The polls forced Gillard and KRudd to a face-off The polls will make Gillard call another leadership spill - looks like Stephen Smith is the next challenger judging by recent rebuff of the Senate position |

The next leadership challenge will be on the liberal side.
While Gillard took far to long to deal with Rudd, the 73 to 31 win is a lot more convincing than Abbotts 1 point win over turnbull. Maqqa wrote on Mar 1st, 2012 at 8:31am:

I see the extremists like Abbott himself don't like his ineptitude being exposed. |

Abbott and the "useless men" that sit behind him in parliament think they can draw a generous taxpayer funded salary for nothing.
As the next 18mths unfold if they don't release comprehensive policies, costings and some sort of future vision they will have no one else but themselves to blame for losing the unlosable election. |

Yep, keep 'em coming. We want Tony! Tony's the MAN. He'll lead Libs to victory, yessir. No doubt about it. Labor has no chance with Tony in charge. I'm throwing in the towel already!
Every news story needs some pictures. Here's a few to help Tony along: There are just so many good ones to choose from. Here's my all-time favourite. I've even given it a subtitle: "Tony Abbott?? PIGS ARSE!" ;D ;D ;D |
