Title: A HOUSE DIVIDED CAN NEVER STAND Post by red baron on Feb 27th, 2012 at 10:48am
JULIA GILLARD won her landslide victory this morning with K RUDD receiving only 31 votes.
This however is a hollow victory because whilst GILLARD is popular in Caucus she is as popular as hemlock with the public. Already stories are starting to filter out on how the party heavies will let Gillard go with the flow for a few months before striking and replacing her with either STEPHEN SMITH or BILL SHORTEN. Let us pray to God it will be the moderate and intelligent STEPHEN SMITH, for BILL SHORTEN is another bottle of unopened poison banging around trying to get noticed. One thing is for certain THE LIBERALS will repeat the does that occurred in NSW on a National level next year. THEY ARE, THE GOVERNMENT IN WAITING. |

Abbott and Gillard are both unpopular with the public. Both Rudd and Turnbull are far more popular so whats your point?

It is obvious that about 30% of ALP MPs can't stand a bar of the redhead.

It's obvious that very nearly 50% of Liberal MPs can't stand a bar of Abbott. And yet they're too chicken to do anything about it. |

Do not be surprised if Malcolkm Turnbull makes a comeback to the leadership of the Liberals. He is suprememly qualified to lead them now he has had more experience.
I do not concur with some of his policies but I have exchaned views with Malcom Turnbull on a regular basis. I believe him to be ethical, dependable and the type of person Australia desperately needs right now . |

If a house divided can never stand then there is not one single government in the history of free democracy that would have ever worked. This delusion that all parties don't have seriously corrosive undercurrents running through them is really pathetic. Just think of recent years, Hawks/Keating, Howard/Costello these were just as bad and i would think that Howard/Costello was worse in how deceitful it was, the main difference was Costello had the vision and personal strength to do what was needed even when Howard needed a machete in his back for his lying deceit toward Costello.

Title: Re: A HOUSE DIVIDED CAN NEVER STAND Post by juliar on Mar 1st, 2012 at 5:23pm
All basically true. But remember the ALP is totally under the control of the faceless Sussex Street union power brokers and it is they who make the actual decisions.
Miss Gillard is just a brown nosing ex-unionist puppet who is there only while the Sussex Street bosses allow it. The recent leadership ballot was rigged from the start by the Sussex Street bosses who simply wanted to get Rudd out of the way because Kevin is not a brown nosing ex-unionist and he is regarded as just a nuisance. Recall, Kevin actually denounced union control of the ALP which, in the Sussex Street bosses eyes, is SACRILEGE and must be PUNISHED!!! Miss Gillard has been a continual embarrassment to the Sussex Street union bosses and it is increasingly apparent to them that Miss Gillard will lose the next election. So, in about 6-9 months or less it is widely expected that the Sussex Street union power brokers will select and install a new Prime Minister to lead the ALP into the election. Hence the rabid displays to try to attract the Sussex Street union power brokers attention by Simon Boring Cream etc in the hope that they will be selected to replace the woebegone Miss Gillard. Given Slipper's rather impressive recent performance he may be considered or perhaps Bob Carr ? |
