I certainly don't support the AGW hypothesis.  Never have.

However, temperatures have not been cold in WA:

"PERTH has sweltered through its hottest January in 34 years, after experiencing its first heat wave this summer.

Good point, so by implication, do you agree that Christopher Monckton and Andrew Bolt, as journos are totally irrelevant and we just need to talk about the science? A thousand journos nodding their heads doesn't make it so either.

By the way, I think you'll find that scientists outnumber politicians by several magnitudes in my last sentence, including Margaret Thatcher of course, as she was a qualified scientist.  I just got the impression that you were interested in the opinions of lay persons and fake aristocracy. 

Let me go further than that. In science, personal opinions don't count for anything. What counts is the evidence - the validity of the argument.

It doesn't matter if it's the Dalai Lama or the Pope who has an opinion. Everybody has an opinion, they are all different and they all stink. (a bit like something else)  ;D

I had forgotten what summer was like. On the weekend where I live, it was warm to hot, dont know the exact temperature, but not over 35 im sure. That bldy sun, it was so frigging hot, I could feel my skin burning like someone had a magnifying glass on me. CO2 does not cause that. I cant remember when my skin felt like that or maybe it has and I have forgotten the feeling.

With no CO2 in the atmosphere, the average global temperature would be around minus 18 degrees C.  We'd be living on a solid ball of ice. Those 280 molecules of CO2 for every one million have made life possible here on Earth. Of course it's now up to 393 ppm.

On a totally separate issue, I just heard that the Russians at Vostok Station have finally broken through to Lake Vostok in the Antarctic.
