Title: Labor have lost many long-term supporters.
Post by matty on Feb 6th, 2012 at 11:05pm
My mother voted Labor all of her life up until the last election. She always voted for them, and is a left-wing Socialist at heart. Why don't Labor realise that they have lost so many former stalwarts and rusted-on supporters? Labor is set to lose many seats that were once considered staple, such as Werriwa, Lingiari and Kingsford Smith.

Yes, and most of those votes will go to
Greens/Independents, not Liberal.

I am VERY disillusioned with Labor, but wouldn't
vote for the Coalition at gun-point.

Greens don't 'do it' for me either.

what makes you think they dont realize matty? why have BBQs to talk out problems.. if their isnt any???

these are all people who could lose their job in a few months time..I think you will find they do realize they are losing many of their loyal voters..ones who didnt care what they voted for as long as it was Labor..

Not a chance.

Didn't last time, won't this time.

Might simply not bother.....

Not my Mother, Kat. She will be voting Liberal forever now. She can't believe it herself, but she hates Labor with a passion. She voted for them every single election up until last year, and she's 51.

I see what you mean... its very hard today both parties..seem to concentrate on showing up the other sides faults..

this doesnt help you and me..wastes time and money..

maybe its time they started telling us how good they are.. instead of rubbishing each other..

Good point, cods. What I really mean is why don't they care, not why don't they realise. They just don't care about anyone but themselves.

cods, the Coalition shouldn't put up any policies at the moment, because all that Labor would do is steal them and claim them as their own. Yes, Mr Abbott is negative about the ALP, but what other way is there to be?

Atleast when liberals are having a go at labor, you can see the poor results of labor. When labor have a go at liberals, Australia is ploding along reasonably at the very least.

well I think its time one side or the other showed us they are grown ups..

they should start telling us how good they are instead of how bad they think the other side is..

they should be doing something about all this flood water that seems to drive people out of their homes every few months..instead of building levys shouldnt we be building dams.?

if QT pizzzzzes me off today... just by the very fact a question never gets an answer...I swear I will be getting on to slipper everyday..

did I hear where he wants to wear the original paraphernalia that goes with the job!!!!!

oh gawd.. not knee britches and a whopping big chain round his stupid neck..unless its got a ball on the end of it..LOL>.

maybe he thinks parliament is all about the SPEAKER>.

it probably will be the rate this lot is going.

That's exactly right, Cods. These ridiculous Labor voters don't care who they vote for.

Which is why my strategy of Matty running for Labor makes perfect sense. Pauline, if you remember, was once in the Labor Party - same as Mr Abbott. Matty could always get elected as a Labor MP and then vote with the Libs.

It would serve these stupid Labor voters right.

SHAME LABOR SHAME.
