nah, there are answers. its just that in too many cases there is too much ambiguity in what they are.

We will never all agree on a single thing and many of us won't agree on anything at all. A solution for Matty is probably not going to be an acceptable solution for me.

what i mean is that most people who claim they have the answers don't actually have them. there may be some truth to what they say but the whole truth of a matter is rarely going to be occupied entirely within one camp.

I agree. It's all about compromise.  I'm glad that there is at least one other person on here who prefers to think through issues for themselves instead of flag waving and towing a single party line. (Actually I know there are many others)

pretty much this thread is just the concession:

i don't find much of what i think or have wrote about here in the past very convincing anymore.

but at the same time i dont find most other people here very convincing either.

yeah well i was convinced i knew everything at 14.  then again at 18.  Then 21....24.etc etc.
Luckily now, I really do have all the answers. 

But nah, everythings changing all the time, so you've got to move with it. That things you said, wrote/thought years ago seem wrong now is a good thing.  It shows you're not stuck in a rut, and are capable of adapting to change.

Forums like this are 99% hyperbole and histrionics.

Yeah exactly, who cares.  It's not very likely you're ever going to wake up one morning and find you are supreme dictator of the world.  Theories are fine on the interweb, but all you really need to know is how to organise your own life, not the whole world.   Leave the machinations of the world to sid meier.
