Title: Now I have power
Post by Amadd on Jan 25th, 2012 at 7:05am
Will you use it? Do you use it?

In the capitalist world, it is a sin to not use it.

So why wouldn't you?

Obviously power is the objective.
So do you have a smile or a frown?

"The real question" is, are you financially free?

If you are not, then why not?

You should be financially free.
You should be without debt.
You should should own your own home.
You should be free (albeit on a financial budget) to do as you so choose.

Do you have anywhere near this type of freedom?

If you don't, then why not?  You should have it if you've worked long and hard enough.

If one can choose....then one is free.  Your argument is therefore mute. :(

Tell me of your freedom.

So now you may question the amount of power that you actually hold in the real world?
It is very very little, believe you me.

You do not even have the power to be free of debt.
That is very significant.

So my ol' man and me have worked very hard to thwart this ridiculous system, and I think that we have done so very successfully.
The weakness is mine. I'm so bloody weak.
I disrespect my ol' man's intentions with my weakness.
Why am I so bloody weak?

And I beckon my stupid company (Linfox) to do the dastardly things that they have to me, because I can buggerem. I am groomed to bugger those types.

Yes Linfox said that they would be very much behind me after my father died.
Hospital support groups asked if my workplace would be supportive of my situation..I just chuckled. Yeah right!

Now I must destroy that dirty peice of crap Linfox. They are a pathetic dirty filthy lot of nothings.
They need to be destroyed by real people.

And when I don't need to work anymore, do you think that I should make a point of telling them?

I'll make a point of not telling them.

Well today I woke up and kissed my girls good-bye and went to work.

They walk to childcare (2 weeks till “big school”) then my partner walks on to work.

I work with great people.

Tonight I’ll go home watch the cricket for an hour, watch little on her trampoline, cook tea (my turn), put precious little to bed, then relax with my love and go to bed.

Tomorrow before it gets too hot, we are off to a great sand bar on the mighty Murray River. Little will laugh and play, build sand castles, find stones and run through the waves coming from all the free people in their boats out for a fish or a ski. I hover over her to keep her safe. No more plans after that than to relax and watch the cricket, just too easy.

Back to work FriYAY, then catching up with life long mates that night to relax and have cans and play some 8ball. Nothing better than mates that would drop everything and do anything to help each other out anytime it’s needed.

Saturday morning………sleep in mmmmmmm. Do some work around the flat, go to the tip. There is a cool change coming, which will be great. Watch some cricket, walk down to the park with the dog and family during lunch.

Sunday, off to see mum, do anything she needs done, stay and talk for a few hours, then home for “stay home and cuddle day”.

We are nearly ready to sell our flat, which will give us a good $40-50K spare to put towards a new home, on an acre or 2, a bit out of town, within walking distance to the river.

So happy, so free, so easy, life’s good. Nothing to stop me doing anything I want.

You wouldn’t be dead for quids.
;) :) :) :)

Guess what I did?

lol..I patted my neighbor's dog on the head before going to work ..where we had a huge barby of spare ribs and eye fillet steaks.
Later a few of us banged your mrs. just for fun. Then we headed off to the gold class cinemas and got blind drunk.

We then bought some tickets to Phuket and had a blast of a time for just a few hundred bucks.

..more to come  ;)

..and to continue, you do not mention the ensuing divorce, which is just a natural progression of marriage in the western world.
That is just what is for a natural woman in the fake western world.
Like it of lump it.

So if you wish to avoid the debt of a natural woman in in unnatural world, then you must take a few logical steps.

I love avoiding that type of debt ...hahhaa  ;D ;D ;D

In actual fact, I don't work for any company anymore. They now work for me.
It's a very different paradigm to get one's head around, but when it is realized that there is absolutely no necessity for an employer to provide income in order to survive comfortably, the tables suddenly turn.

The order of things now is that they require me to make money for their company where I am naturally unwilling to do so when I could be doing other things that interest me more.

In answer to my own question, I would say yes, I should use the power that I now have and do what most will never have a chance to do amidst that "dash" in between birth and death dates (well, not before old-age retirement anyway).

Title: Re: Now I have power

Maybe I could've taken a different approach to avoid this denigrating into a tit for tat argument  :-/

Obviously the subject title seems as though I'm assuming some power over other people. This is not the case.
The power that I'm talking about is in regards to not having to work another day in my life if I so choose.

I now have the power to reduce my carbon footprint to a fraction of that of the ordinary Australian.
I now have the power to concentrate more on my own health and well-being.
I now have the power to concentrate on things that interest me.

Seemingly, this concept is somewhat alien and somewhat threatening to a lot of people as I have felt a whole lot o' backlash against this "hair-brained" idea.

I regularly hear comments such as: "Surely you are not actually considering retirement!?" And then I get options thrown at me regarding what type of work I might be able to do after my few weeks break.
The concept of taking a break for the rest of my life (if I so choose) is something which is incomprehensible to them.

Retirement at a relatively young age is obviously something which is not considered very often where debt and competition reign supreme at occupying the forefront of most minds.

So what will you work for?

Working to secure a better future for your kids is undoubtedly a noble cause.
..Working to secure a treadmill of never-ending debt for your pitter-patter (plunder) of carbon footprints may not seem so noble.
..Working to secure the death of the planet through perpetual greed and dissatisfaction may seem even less noble. ... it depends on your viewpoint of whether or not you see erroneous logic at play here - I certainly do.

Well, your opinion is free...but still a little overpriced  ;)

Personal freedom is subjective in nature. No doubt one person could find more personal freedom living in a prison cell than another who apparently has it all.
I can't say that another person is not free where they might be in debt beyond their means and have an overpowering boss, wife, husband etc. ..it's all subjective.
I can only speak for myself and what makes me feel free. Once again, this seems to cause a backlash for some strange reason ::)
