Given Tony Abbotts history of upper crust private schooling I wonder if he was a victim of fagging during his younger years.
That and being touched up by Catholic priests could go a long way to explaining why he's become a sociopath.

Fagging is a centuries old tradition in private schools as is Catholic abuse of children.
There is no doubt with Abbotts sociopathic tendencies that he was a victim of one or both of these activities and he may have even fagged younger lads himself while at Oxford  :D

Tony Abbott was a day boy - not a boarder.

Day boys were never fags - that would be pointless.

Fagging was made illegal about 100 years ago and very few boarding schools continued with the practice. I'm pretty damn sure that no Catholic school did - if they had ever allowed the practice before.

The boarding school I went to still had it going when I was there.

Anyone who makes excuses for the abuse carried out by the hierarchy within the Catholic church, or any other church for that matter are in fact aiding and abetting the criminals and their crimes.

Hundreds of thousands of innocent children are being abused to this very day because of the deceit of those in the top ranks of the church.

Child abuse will never be stopped within the church system, but the least the heads of the churches can do is admit that the abuse is taking place and at least make some attempt to stamp it out.

They should have a "war on child abuse".

Just days before the girl's father planned to whisk her overseas to marry a man she has never met, the Family Court ordered she must stay.

One of the officers said the girl told them she had been engaged for a month to a 17-year-old boy from another country but did not know what she felt about marrying him because she had never met him and had only ever seen a photograph of him.

The officer said he formed the opinion the girl had not considered the prospect of having sex with her new husband or the possibility of being abused.
He said the girl indicated she had not discussed her feelings with her parents and did not know her mother's opinion of the marriage.

"It is my belief that it would not be in [the child's] best interests to travel . . . to be married as she is a child and she does not appear to understand the consequences of marriage," the officer's affidavit concluded.

"Furthermore she would be deprived of a school education and she may be at risk of sexual exploitation and emotional harm."

Islamic Council of Victoria vice-president Sherene Hassan said arranged child marriages were a perverse practice not mandated by Islam.

"According to Islamic law a woman must give her consent to marriage without any form of collusion," she said yesterday.

"Sadly there are some Muslims that fail to discern [the difference] between culture and religion."

Four Islamic clerics were arrested this week for ordering Mosammet Hena, 14, to receive 100 lashes in a fatwa or religious edict at a village in the south-western Shariatpur district.

It has now been reported that the teenage girl was raped by her married cousin and then accused of having an affair with him.

The girl collapsed after she was lashed in public with a bamboo cane around 70 times on Monday, police chief Shahidur Rahman said.

She was taken to hospital, but died hours later.
Police chief Shahidur Rahman said the 40-year-old man with whom the girl was allegedly involved was also sentenced to 100 lashes, but he fled to escape the punishment.

'We are hunting for the man,' he said.
The girl was reportedly beaten by the man’s family before the lashing sentence was passed.
‘What sort of justice is this?’ the girl's father asked the BBC.

‘My daughter has been beaten to death in the name of justice. If it had been a proper court then my daughter would not have died.’

The best fagging story I know of....

Four seniors chip in and rent a unit within a short distance from their school. They then manage to get enough cash to pay for airfare for a Filipino mail order bride and set her up in the unit.

Apart from the other obvious activities that went on in that unit, they had her preparing their clothes and cooking meals for them.

Their inspiration for doing it? The Ripping Yarns episode "Tomkinsons School Days".

They got busted.... suspended for a couple of weeks but not expelled. She got sent back home at their parents expense.

Lisa you really lost the plot, clearly the one with the mind in the gutter is not pansi. I found it a reasonable question considering some of the issues that have come to the for with the defence force. Is it alright that basically the same question be asked of Andrew Wilkie and his time at Duntroon. How about some of our other leaders in Canberra and the questionable behaviour they have had in their lives. Is it fair to question the personal life of any of our public figures and if so then it is good for all not just some.

Odd how petty and pathetic we have become about the character of our public figures. I saw Bob Hawke skol a beer at the SCG the other day and it has made the net. I doubt that the judgemental morons of the current electorate would vote for Bob, as he is such an unsavoury character. World speed drinking record, some not so nice behaviour as a husband, yes many stories abound but he was one of our greatest leaders because of who he was not because he was little miss muffet.

So did Abbott get involved in this sort of behaviour. Was he touched by the church as so many of his generation were. For me i don't give a sh1t, i look at the person he is and i don't like him one little bit.
