I cannot see how Ashwin is better spinner than Harbijhan Singh....he is a better bat and no doubt a better human being but I fail to see how he is India's # 1 spinner......As for Australia's spin prospects I cannot say it is very impressive!!!

I think you'll find that even members of the Australian team who know him will say he's one of the nicest people you can meet. It's just that when he's playing cricket he becomes extremely gung ho - something that's praised when it comes to Australian cricketers.

Don't discount that India made 400 in the second innings in Sydney. They did find some form and that will carry for them. They have had success there before and i would not discount a big effort. Also loosing Pattinson will have an effect. Our attack will be different and we will see how the balance goes for them.

None the less we must be favorite to win, it will take a big effort with the bat again and this time from the young ones. You cannot expect the same people to do it all the time.

I hope it is a close contest too however India have been less than inspiring so far.....I have been impressed by the crowd behaviour though and hope the Perth crowd treats the Indians with the respect they deserve....Sachin is due for a big score but Perth will be a hard task for the Indian batsmen on what is a green top by all accounts.....Go Aussies!!!

Australia's on a roll with the batsmen finally firing in conjunction with the bowlers.
It's taken a while.
India can't get past their ageing batsmen, not in this season anyway.
I'd be particularly happy if it's a close contest though.

OMG, the team has smashed them. All down 161 and we are 149, how good a day is that. India won't sleep well tonight and we can cash in tomorrow with some runs for Marsh to give everyone some touch. Only weak link left is Haddin and he even managed to catch today.

Disgusting.

India - go to the bottom of the test rankings where you deserve to be.

Thoroughly thrashed three times by a second rate team that lost to a third rate New Zealand only a month ago.

India failed to offer any resistance of substance to a team of wannabes that they should have embarrassed to the same extent that they have been embarrassed.

Tests lost in 3 days or by an innings? That's just sh!t cricket.
