Title: Comrade Turnbull : Socialist or Communist?

Government can't sell carbon tax - Turnbull

OPPOSITION frontbencher Malcolm Turnbull says the federal government has done a terrible job in selling the carbon tax.
"This mob could not sell fresh fish to starving seals. They are the worst advocates I've ever seen," Mr Turnbull told ABC Television.

Mr Turnbull said Climate Change Minister Greg Combet has done a much better job than Prime Minister Julia Gillard at selling the tax.

"Greg Combet in a dour sort of way does a pretty good job of explaining the mechanics of it, but the prime minister is the chief salesman of any government and she's been unable to explain her policies.

"Wayne Swan on the other hand always radiates anxiety and uncertainty and a lack of confidence.

"Now no matter how good the message he has to deliver he always appears to be somewhere between uncertain and slightly terrified."

Now that Abbott has wedged himself to death via wanting two elections to roll back greenhouse gas action, while his replacement, Comrade Malcolm Turnbull and Communist China, are going in the opposite direction.

Time to put Comrade Turnbull under the the spotlight. Is he a socialist ... or a communist?

The Liberal Party has a record of nominating communists in electable seats ... yet never before have they flirted with a communist as their party leader.

The thin line between Liberal Party socialism and Liberal party communism ... where is it.

Comrade Malcolm supports the Liberal Party communist scheme to mitigate greenhouse gases via Liberals taxing and then hand out to comrads in a pretence it's a climate greenhouse reduction scheme.

Malcolm after making his fortune from the internet is opposed to the roll out of the NBN. Is it because he is scared Australians will discover that they too could be capitalists from their homes. Start up businesses at home and watch the cash roll in, then sell the business and rest on ones laurels in the communist Liberal Party of Australia.

Malcolm, once a freedom fighter for the free market right has become a lazy comrad, sitting in parliament rather than in the hotbed of commercial activity.

Rejecting the free market, is Comrade Turnbull, the rehashed and also to be the newest Liberal Party leader, a socialist or a communist?

It's a fair question, after OzEmail, Comrade Turnbull has joined the Liberal Party, even though the majority don't like socialism or communism unless it's their party policy, and Comrade Turnbull now is against the NBN that will help ordinary Australians become millionaires from their own homes.

So why not ask if Liberals will elect a communist/socialist in Turnbull, or stay the corpse, whoops Freudian ~ course, with a (politically) dead abbott.

For starters and to finish, Abbott has always been a goner for a greens voter. Other than that, he is doing very well, even with old labor voters.

That was before comrades in the Chinese Communist Party decided to assist Comrade Turnbull by announcing their own communist carbon tax ...  Comrade Malcolm now criticises Comrade Gillard and Comrade Swan for not selling it correctly to the public.

Comrade Turnbull, obviously wants to gain the communist voters support from the ALP when he is voted in as Liberal Communist Leader of Australia. Smart move by Comrade Turnbull.

Does Comrade Turnbull oppose the NBN on the grounds the masses will be able to enter into free enterprise from home and so increase in wealth.

Hey Cods, how ya going ?

Malcolm Turnball is economically a conservative I believe, but when it comes to social causes and issues, like multiculturalism, envorimental issues, the republic, he mostly leans to the left, I think that should be best answer about Turnbull****

morning stryder it doesnt make a him a commie though does it.. which is what woody is trying to do..I think we all lean one way or another on social issues..the envirnment is one thing..and Taxing the hell out of it aint going to change anything..

making things more expensive in the hope people will stop using it..is a daft idea..hence the compensation..it makes no sense at all.

its the same with the NBN... spending billions...on something that will change almost zilch in everyones life...

almost zero take up and what there has been we have had zero feedback from..

I would think spending the money on our health system would have had far greater effect for everyone.

Most people have common sense, unfortunately for woody, he doesnt most of the time,  ;D

But even though I am not impressed with the performance of Malcolm Turnball last year, I dont believe his a communist or a socialist as woody would like to suggest, but like i said, his consistent as an economic conservative, ( i mean malcolm turnball is a self made millionaire after all, so that woodys suggestion of him being a communist is dead right there )

But social justices and issues, he seems to slip into the mind of a leftie, and it compromises him mostly with those who support or prefer the coalition

He only looks moderate when compared to some of the other Liberals.

It doesn't matter how hard Gillard tries to sell the tax, the fact is that she blatantly lied, and people aren't listening to her because of that. I voted Labor in 2007, and will NEVER vote for them again as long as I live. Former swining voter, never again. Combet sounds and looks like Lurch.

Your not the only one who saw this and felt fooled from the well oiled campaign of labor in 2007 under Rudd with his super sized ego, promised way too many entitlements to be delivered,  subsidized laptops, an impressive number of super hospitals, delivered ONLY empty promises on mass expansion of solar power,  4 people died under his pink batts policy and more and all got Rudd stuck in a quicksand of his own making, with Gilliard and the factional overlords, thought he was a liability in the polls before the election of 2010, he got the night of the long knives treatment which amounted to a very very very bruised ego of Rudd who translated the feeling of that knife in the back right before the canberra pressy gallery into tears, ;D

As said above, the Greens ARE commos. I agree on the second part though. Those three terms are used far too liberally on this forum. I haven't seen any posters that fit the first two, and matty is probably the only poster on here who fits into the third category.

This is exactly why so many voters, like myself, respect Turnbull's views, because he expresses the feelings of those who do not just blindly follow any guff from either party, but form their opinion independently of mainstream propaganda, by actually listening to what pollies say, and observing what they actually do.

I just wish that we had about another 80 pollies as capable as him, so we could have a viable government to vote for.

At the moment, I honestly believe that Labor is a far better option than the Libs, as far as developing policy goes, but as Turnbull says, their ability to communicate their message, and SELL it, is absolutely pathetic, which is Gillard's most obviously glaring deficiency, as a leader.
Despite the fact that I did not like Rudd's ego-maniacal obsession to be Minister for Everything, I had to give him credit for his ability to get his message across, most of the time.

The fact that they have allowed Tony Abbott to get away with offering nothing but negativity and deceitfully contradictory spin on so many issues, is probably the greatest sign of their incompetence in communicating with the public, because any leader worth his, or her, salt, would run rings around Abbott without breaking a sweat.

Abbott's greatest contribution to the Australian public is that he provides a good role model for keeping fit, and healthy.
Maybe he should be running for host of, "The Biggest Loser', rather than aspiring to be PM?

The harping on about Gillard lying is probably why, in a nutshell, those that think Labor is the least worse out of the old parties think this way.

Labor gained minority government via compromise, Conservatives didn't because the cross benches didn't trust them as much as Labor.

By trying to imply Abbott would not of compromised to gain government, you and others are treating Australians as idiots.

If Adam Bandt hadn't been railroaded by Labor, prior to the result, that he would support a Labor government over a Conservative government, Abbott was willing to deal with the Greens. Don't you think Abbott would of accepted some sort of real action on climate change to gain a Greens alliance and so government?

On a side note, the achilles heal of the conservatives at the moment. Abbott is now politically dead and Comrade Malcolm is the front runner. Half the party is gunning for Abbott, Half is gunning for Turnbull.

A wedge worth exploiting by those that desire a progressive Australia over a regressive~conservative Australia.

Turnbull's commo/socialist attributes shown at every turn, will be a part of this exploration.

Will the Hard Right, be forced to support their soon new/rehashed leader, or will they be on the hunt for a back stabber to overthrow Commie Mal at the first opportunity ... and so assist the progressive majority.

If you opposed Labor lying cods, easy solution would be to vote for the ALP and give it majority control of the government at the next election.

Everyone new, who were watching pre election polls, we were voting in a minority government. And still you voted for one.

How can you possibly know what Abbott would have done, had he formed government? Clearly Abbott didn't give the independents, particularly Oakeshott, what they wanted, and hence, that's why they went with Gillard.

The bottom line is that Gillard said that there would be no carbon tax under the government that she leads. Well, she leads the government, and there's a carbon tax. Therefore, she lied. As such, why should the Australian people believe her or give her the time of day?

Why did the same people accept that it was OK for the previous Liberal government to be lying about anything and everything term after term?

There's no point going over this, as, like cods said, you refuse to accept that Howard took the GST to an election.

The independants said that Abbott had offered more, their reason for going against him was that they did not believe him and that the costing on his offers were not affordable.

Tony never refuted what they were saying.
