Title: The NBN scares the Liberal Party silly, Post by Deathridesahorse on Jan 4th, 2012 at 5:44pm
..all the Liberal party can do is lie about the NBN.
They cannot refute it's powerfully cost effective truth! They cannot play anything except the racism card to get anywhere near countering the political momentum it gives the labor party and this is Kevin Rudds legacy! |

I doubt that very seriously. Kevin Rudds legacy was a fragile leadership that he undermines and the bad taste of his brilliant ideas that he could not execute. The Labor party are still paying for the Rudd experience.
NB# The NBN is a massive winner, how about some credit for Conroy. |

Ah, but Conroy doesn't have the power to implement! Therefore, guess who gets the rightful credit for giving the nod!!!????!!!! :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D Nice try but! :o |

Really go figure? Rudd is gone and Conroy is still the minister that is implementing the plan. Abbott has silenced Turnbull by giving him the poisoned chalas. So why does Conroy not deserve the credit? |

Yes whether you will learn is a very good question. You mean Rudd took the credit for it. That does not mean it was his idea. More than most likely some poor tech adviser that will never be thanked had the understanding of its positives and sold it to Conroy who sold it to Rudd who made such a complete fook up of selling it to the electorate that the biggest winner this country has had since financial deregulation was a fizzer and the government are still trying to repair Rudds damage. Rudd was and remains a bad tempered control freak that loves to claim big ideas but has no ability to drive the execution of those concepts nor how to sell them. He is not competent to lead and is in the right position now. |

So i am a Liberal now? MMM Matty seems to think that i am some kind of mad leftie. Seems the childish will always call you what they want when they don't get their own way. Yes DRAH a PM can be congratulated on their performance as a leader and driver of the policy direction and ability to focus and manage the team to successful outcomes. On all of these Rudd was a complete failure. We all felt hurt and betrayed by him DRAH he bought hope at the end of a period that was dominated by fear but he was useless, an autocratic leader that was power centralising but not capable of executing any program successfully. The current government are still trying to clean up the mess he left. Unrealistic promises over health, the batt mess, ETS, Mining tax the two winners were the BER and the NBN both were controlled by others but because of the wreckage Rudd left even these projects were dam near unsellable because everyone was used to everything having massive problems attached to it. Let's hope the new year gives us the fresh programs and directions we need clean of the Rudd mess. We look toward some fresh initiatives from the government that can progress and be theirs without the smeer of Rudd. Lord knows we are hungry for it. If we hear NO said one more time we will all go loopy i am sure. Abbott has had his time and we are all looking forward to a clear direction. |

Well you should know about tripping DRAH. And anyway what a load of crap. the liberals laugh as they have so much ALP incompetence to use the NBN is a cash cow for them later on. They will drive the economy with it then sell it and claim they have a surplus like they did with Telstra. How about all the mum and dad investors that suffered for that liberal route. |

None: it's called infrastructure investment and it takes guts/LEADERSHIP to implement projects that take more than an election cycle to build! |

Actually there are some in spread out areas that are now using it. Did you miss all those expensive adverts on TV extolling its virtues? So again I ask, does anyone here have a connection to the NBN? |

Mate, there is no need for the large font ...I can see! And I have seen the adverts on TV where schools in Armidale (NSW) were exhorting the greatness of having the NBN connected to their school. And there have been a number of other cases also. Perhaps you missed them. In Tasmania some are using the NBN, but because so few there took up the offer the government in their wisdom (sorry, I am laughing at the moment.. ;D :D ;D) decide to make it that Tasmanian residents have to opt out of the scheme if they don't want the NBN!! So there are quite a few, despite your comment to the contary, that do have the NBN in their home!! |

When I was in tasmania they were making ppl dig their own trenches to put the phone cabling in. That would make a few opt out. SOB |
