Title: The woman who believes in nothing Post by bogarde73 on Apr 7th, 2011 at 9:24am
What does she want? A republic.
When does she want it? Pretty much now. August 17, 2010 Ms Gillard today said the Queen should be Australia's final monarch, despite the nation's "deep affection" for her. "What I would like to see as Prime Minister is that we work our way through to an agreement on a model for the republic," she said in Townsville. But who is running off to be a guest at the FUTURE king's wedding? Julia Gillard is an atheist. No problem. In recent weeks, Ms Gillard, who has publicly declared she is an atheist, has told parliament she can still recite scripture learned at her Baptist Sunday school. 5 April, 2011 Julia Gillard has reassured leaders of Australia’s 20 major Christian churches that she supports traditional values and freedom of religion, and is listening to their concerns about the Greens’ social agenda on legalising same-sex marriage and euthanasia. Who, as PM of Australia, can't bring herself to attend customary ecumenical church services for the start of parliament - unlike any previous PM? And finally, the biggest unbelief of the millenium so far: "There will be no carbon tax in a government I lead." |

Interesting ramble - you get from A republic to a carbon tax via religion and its all linked by nothing.
On the three topics I vote No, Partially and Yes. |

Been there, done it, now stop wasting my time having to vote for this crap over and over and stop wasting my tax money on it. Come back in 10 years and we will see then. |

Simply highlighting some typical inconsistencies with our PM to illustrate that she really appears to believe in nothing. |

The latest joke to share regarding our fearless leader.
______________________________________________________ Julia Gillard touring the countryside in a chauffeur-driven car. Suddenly, a cow jumps out onto the road, they hit it full on and the car comes to a stop. Julia in her usual charming manner, says to the chauffeur: ’You get out and check - you were driving. ' The chauffeur gets out, checks and reports that the animal is dead. ‘You were driving; go and tell the farmer, ' says Julia. Five hours later, the chauffeur returns totally plastered, hair ruffled with a big grin on his face. 'My god, what happened to you? 'asks Julia. The chauffeur replies: ' When I got there, the farmer opened his best bottle of malt whisky, the wife gave me a slap-up meal and the daughter made love to me. ' 'What on earth did you say? 'asks Julia. 'I knocked on the door, and when it was answered, I said to them: ‘I’m Julia Gillard's chauffeur and I've just killed the cow.' ________________________________________________________ Have to love these new Gizzard jokes. ;D ;D ;D |

Yes, most droll . . .I wonder how many stories there are about blokes fronting up at a farmhouse.
Julia Gillard is a conviction politician - no conviction (but there should be) |
