Title: Getting sick of Budget pain warming Post by Maqqa on Mar 31st, 2011 at 9:21pm
Every freaking year since 2008 Swan has warned us of "Budget pain".
Guess what?! It'sLabor's fault that we have these deficits. If they didn't waste the $42B on hand-outs then there would be no deficit If they didn't waste $16B on Pink Batts then there would be no deficit How about the BER waste! So Australia listens to the deficit rhetoric and bend over for Swan to do us over http://www.theaustralian.com.au/national-affairs/julia-gillard-warns-of-pain-in-federal-budget/story-fn59niix-1226031593032 PRIME Minister Julia Gillard has warned the federal budget in May will bring pain as the government pushes to return to surplus. Ms Gillard said the government is determined to keep a tight rein on spending so it can put the budget back in the black in 2012-13. "That's what we said we will do and we will do it," Ms Gillard said in the inaugural Gough Whitlam Oration in western Sydney tonight. The May 10 budget would be about making the right decisions to protect the economy and jobs, she said, and added the government would strive for "a budget to nurture the boom so that it lasts, a budget to respond to patchwork pressures in the economy, a budget to make hard decisions now to prevent long-term pain, a budget to grow jobs and share opportunity - a Labor budget". Actually Labor has been saying this since 2008 and they haven't made a correct decision since |
