Title: A word or two FOR Keneally Post by bogarde73 on Mar 21st, 2011 at 10:52am
I can't remember a leader who has faced not only certain defeat but devastating defeat at an election as does Kristina Keneally, although I am not sure it will be as bad as predicted.
But she has soldiered on gallantly, been unstinting with interviews and appearances, and presented her case as vigorously as if she believed in victory. Look at the baggage she has had to carry. A party absolutely riddled with scandal & corruption. A succession of incompetent ministers. A party organisation you would like to drown in a bucket. She took on a losing job and has carried herself well through it. There are constant disparaging remarks that she is just a pretty face. She can't help being an attractive woman. What? she should make herself ugly in the morning before she goes to work? She is a determined talented woman, with a strong religious faith (which must be offputting for the left), and who has apparently overcome a great personal tragedy. I won't be voting for her but I just wonder what next Saturday's result would be had they given her the job 4 years ago. I hope she goes to Canberra, she will be an ornament to federal politics. |

Oh Bogarde - it's nice to see someone being nice, but you HAVE been hoodwinked.
Certainly she is very attractive to look at, but she has deceived, lied and been very duplicitous especially of late. She prorogued parliament in order to attempt to hide the mess she and Roozendaal made of the power sell off (midnight deal). She has had the Duffy-Parry report, which she received in early December under wraps, to hide the fact that she and her government are responsible for the hikes in power prices, and then LIED about it. She has tried to convince herself and others that she sacked the 23 Labor ministers and officials, when most left of their own accord. I won't comment on the way she has tried to twist her religious beliefs to suite HER OWN agenda - But she seems more the 'whited sepulchre' than the 'poor misunderstood Kristina' she would have you believe. You blokes are so easily fooled by a pretty and flirtatious woman. |

nichy, I don't deny she is a boots & all politician but I don't think she is tainted by corruption. Certainly some bad decisions.
And I don't think you would deny her credit for steadfastness in the face of adversity. Sure she's attractive and I like that. |

Bogarde, sorry, I usually agree with your posts, but I'm afraid I can't this time. She was parachuted into the job (which she actively fought for) by her husband's best mate Joe Tripodi who is well and truly tainted by the scent of corruption and also sexual harassment. The Bararangaroo Development which she has pushed along with Keating has more than a suspicion of deals with developers about it. She has many suspicious black marks when she was Planning Minister with her "Acceleration Protocol" . Property Developers and Kristina Keneally were synonymous . She is no innocent sweetheart.

OK, with this weight of counter-argument I guess I must be wrong.
I still admire a battler though. |

The thing is bogarde, she was a member of the Teamsters Union in the US before immigrating here. I wonder if she knows where Jimmy Hoffa is? ;) |

Out, out, brief candle!
Life's but a walking shadow, a poor player, That struts and frets his hour upon the stage, And then is heard no more. It is a tale Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, Signifying nothing. |

Macbeth was a tragedy. The tragedy here is that Keneally didn't get the flick before she did so much damage to NSW

Isn't it strange that none of the left have wanted to put in a good word for her? What does it mean?
Are they so callous that they can't find something nice to say about her? |

Hi Bogey..nice to see you are on here too...:-) I guess I must be the last to join the fray.
I have to agree with the others this time. At first I admired her for her bright, confident manner in the face of all she had inherited. Unfortunately, she has simply continued the farce of untruths and when she prorogued parliament, that was the end for me. She does not deserve to be the premier of this once-great state. |

Did you see Kristina yesterday? Did you SEE her?
My immediate thought was, she is going to visit a CWA with some "Country" Labor candidate to have a cup of tea & some pumpkin scones. There she was in a startling floral number straight out of the fifties (I could get a job as a royal dress reporter?) AND she was wearing a CARDIGAN!! Brilliant! Style! |

...... Perhaps she thought that "country folk" still dress as they did in the fifties, bogey.... ::) Usually Kristina dresses with remarkably good taste, so it was just a bit of an abberation and I won't get on her case for one wardrobe mistake....I think she could give Joolia a big lesson in how to look smart though. |

Title: Re: A word or two FOR Keneally Post by Katanyavich on Mar 24th, 2011 at 10:03pm Actually, I have a couple of words for Kenneally, and I am quite looking forward to delivering them to her on Saturday. The first begins with the letter 'F', the second with 'O'. |

I wrote to KK, as I have to each of her predecessors, and she did'nt even have the grace to send me a form letter reply.
She was parachuted into her seat, and has never faced election for the premiers seat. She screwed the pooch regarding transport, and doesn't have a single run on the board, just lots of outs. She supported MPs who were found guilty, and didn't support MPs who were guilty of nothing. I bet she bails from opposition, and demands all the perks associated with a long standing premier. She can go to buggery. Along with the stinking corpse of Bob Carr's government, whose greatest skill was flim flammery. |

My community was screwed by Egan & Carr, and Tony Kelly has maintained the position ever since that we are silvertails and should pay to access our homes (think about that).
We've had several meetings about it and NOT ONE Labor MP or staffer accepted our invitation to attend - just a single Federal Labor candidate valiantly trying to oust Phillip Ruddock. We had another meeting two weeks ago, with Greg Pearce, the Shadow Minister for Lands, PLUS one sitting coalition MP (Pittwater) and the candidates for Hornsby and Central Coast. Four of them. You could say we are impressed. Time will tell, but maybe we will finally get some commonsense. |

Ernie, you are not footbru are you?
Olive, no you've got me wrong I think. I actually think she was beautiful in that floral number. Feminine, appealing, appropriately dressed for the occasion probably. |
