Title: GiLIARds New Global Warming Tax Mk2
Post by frenchyjen70 on Mar 19th, 2011 at 9:58pm
JuLIAR GiLIARd is about to release another new tax, apparently this was inspired after she viewed the film 2012.
There GiLIARd saw that the sun was releasing massive solar flares not previously seen, and she was convinced that by imposing a tax on Australians will then stop the sun from microwaving & radiating the earth's core. Which would then subsequently cause historian Professor Hapgood's Earth's Crust Displacement theory to be realised. This causes the earthquakes and tsunamis.
Only by GiLIARd imposing a tax on all Australians will this stop the sun from having record solar flares, and only will a tax prevent the sun from microwaving the earth's core.
Thank god Australia will be able to save the world by paying a tax.

Better watch out for the listening device in your house Jack.

Heard this week that police  installed a device into someones computer to catch him. Worked a treat.

Well tell me this if I had kiddie pron on my computer or even went to any kiddie pron sites how come I wasn't I wasn't taken away the other day when the police broke that pedophile ring on Thursday and why would I still have a computer?

Quote:
Seventeen of the 31 Australians involved in a worldwide pedophile ring have already been sentenced to terms ranging from eight years' jail to 150 hours of community service.

So far, 184 people have been arrested and 230 children - four of them Australians - rescued from members of the Netherlands-based website Boylover.net.

A 25-year-old Sydney man from Eastwood was sentenced to eight years in 2010 on multiple charges including three counts of having sex with a child, while Victorian Bryan Cooper is serving seven years for procuring boys for sex.

A judge described Cooper's crimes as "sheer filth" when sentencing him last month.

Cooper, 25, from Maryborough, assumed the online alias of a 14-year-old to groom children for sex.

Sydney man David Anthony Hudson, 40, from Russell Lea, was jailed for his role in an international child sex tourism ring and is spending a minimum five years and seven months in jail for offences against a Thai teenager.

George Iliakis, a former teacher from exclusive Brighton Grammar in Melbourne, sent videos and pictures of young boys to other members of the ring, which at its height had 70,000 members.

Iliakis, who is serving a minimum two-year sentence, handcuffed and gagged boys before photographing them for his sexual gratification.

Two Melbourne members of the ring were sentenced to 150 hours' community service and a five-month suspended sentence for possessing child pornography.

Five more Australians in the ring are before the courts, while three have been charged but are yet to appear.

The suspects came from many walks of life, including Scout leaders, lifesavers and teachers, and ranged in age from 19 to 84.

The 84-year-old lives in Thailand and has been charged with "contact sex" offences.

Melbourne music teacher Philip Alan Reid was jailed in 2008 for two years and three months, with a minimum of 15 months, for possessing child porn.

Reid had written notes on grooming children for sex, including one headed: "You don't need to sexually seduce children - if you give them enough time they will seduce you."

A federal police spokeswoman told AAP that four of the Australians held high-level positions within the ring.

Perth accountant Ralph Ian Assheton, who is believed to be one of the high-ranking members, pleaded guilty last year to using the internet to access child pornography and was jailed for two-and-a-half years.

Police say details of the investigation have been kept secret until now for operational reasons.

Operation Rescue began in 2007 and involved police from Australia, the US, New Zealand, Europol, the Netherlands and Canada along with investigators from Britain's Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre.

"With over 200 children removed from harm globally, we imagine an even larger number of children were safeguarded elsewhere in the world," said Grant Edwards, the manager of investigations at the Canberra-based high-tech crime lab.

"We will never know the total figure due to it being such a limitless crime. Global law enforcement is working together internationally to protect children wherever they may be in the world."

Commander Edwards said inquiries were continuing, with many suspects still being tracked online and leading police to other websites.

More arrests are expected, including in Australia, as investigations continue.

With all the skeptics on here, I'm curious, what is your plan to level out energy cost increases?

I mean let's just forget for a moment the debate about human caused global warming, and consider that coal is a fossil fuel, and while we may still have an abundance of it, as a nonrenewable resource it will only continue to grow in cost, and especially when we have developing countries buying up truck loads.  With it growing in cost, our energy cost will continue to grow.  So, while we continue to rely on coal for energy we will continue to be burdened by increases in our bills - FACT.

That being said, the alternative presented has been nuclear energy. And while the events in Japan have not really made me worry too much about the safety of the plants because the disaster only came to be due to the LARGEST earthquake ever recorded in the country.  We don't get these type of earthquakes, and our positioning will probably mean we never will; hence to me nuclear power is a safe option. HOWEVER, it is still a half arse job to get around our energy needs, because anything that is not sustainable into the future simply means we haven't learnt from our mistakes.  Not to mention that in countries where nuclear power exists their energy bills are still climbing ABOVE CPI.

The best alternative is to look at increasing supply and demand of renewable energy sources.  The only way to do this is through re-education.  Now I also hold the view that a carbon tax is not the optimal choice because I don't believe a government when they say they will rescind a tax; it somehow never happens.  However, considering the alternative is some half arse "incentives" plan that is, from all reputable analysis, going to cost double and allow companies such as Hickory's to claim they spend millions on R&D where in fact they are doing business as usual and their actual expenditure is probably less than 0.5% (all while they still increase energy costs and claim the tax benefits too), the carbon tax is the only option we can consider at this time.

And for all those that don't think it'll change behaviour, remember it is an intermediary solution for 2015 to BEGIN the process, and eventually end up with an ETS.  An ETS 100% changes behaviour, as it's market driven.

And you can thank the Liberal Party for it overall, who in '09 were all about talking down an ETS and ACTUALLY suggesting a Carbon Tax, and now have once again switched.  So... ... what does the Coalition ACTUALLY believe?!?!?!

So be a skeptic, or believe in human caused global warming.  Whatever. Just remember that if you're worried about the hip pocket, regardless change needs to occur in our energy sector or else soon you'll be back to using candles.  ... Which seems like a conservative's dream I guess...

1-12 December 2008
POZNAN, Poland - The UN global warming conference currently [Dec 2008] underway in Poland is about to face a serious challenge from over 650 dissenting scientists from around the globe who are criticizing the climate claims made by the UN IPCC and former Vice President Al Gore.  Set for release this week, a newly updated U.S. Senate Minority Report features the dissenting voices of over 650 international scientists, many current and former UN IPCC scientists, who have now turned against the UN. The report has added about 250 scientists (and growing) in 2008 to the over 400 scientists who spoke out in 2007. The over 650 dissenting scientists are more than 12 times the number of UN scientists (52) who authored the media hyped IPCC 2007 Summary for Policymakers.

Shurely shome mishtake.

Mate my position has always been that.
Me having to pay through the nose for climate change whilst other nations get off scot-free and with worse environmental processes than we have?

Come on, where is the sense.

Like going out for the FA Cup Final and kicking the ball in your own net to make things that bit easier for the opposition.

Remember China and India are our competitors in the global marketplace.
They are not our friends. We do not owe them anything.
We compete with them.

This tax will cripple Australian manufacturing and end up pushing the carbon intesive processes to these countries who do not penalise for it.

Australian jobs, Australian dollars, Australian economy - all heading out the door.

Madness.

and if you read my post I am saying it's not a matter of climate change, but a matter of the costs of energy rising, and RISING.  And since you always back away and can't provide an alternative on how to bring energy increases back to CPI increase only, then really you will end up paying through the roof REGARDLESS.
