I always thought that this would be fun and spice up the board a little. What do you think, Freediver? There are reputation plugins for YaBB.

I'm not a big fan of point scoring. I can see how they might have their place on social or topical boards, where social feedback helps develop the sense of community, but I expect people here would use it mostly to indicate whether they share an opinion rather than the quality of the contribution. I want people to talk about the things that are often considered impolite.

Fair enough Freediver, you are probably right.

I signed up to "Mylot" and they had a similar type of system.

I lasted there for a very long ti...for a few mont....a few wee..well, not very long at all actually  ;D

Still an interesting point Imp. I do like this type of system with some of the history sites etc and works quite well there. But I can see where FD is coming from as well.
