Title: Is he in America
Post by riverina.jack on Sep 6th, 2010 at 12:59pm
Andei said over the weekend that he was leaving for America on Sunday.

The time is now 1.00 pm on Monday and he is online. So did he leave for America or not.

He even post on a thread at 6.47pm on Sunday

Umm before 1860 in the US, for a start

No they weren't breaking the law being black.
They just weren't entitled to various freedoms.

It wasn't illegal being black!

Pedantic I know but you get my point.

So looks like he is telling more B/S

Are you f***ing serious???

I only just saw this. You're a bloody nutbag man!

a) Yes I am.
b) Why should it remotely matter.
c) My points on Australian politics stand no matter where I am.

PS - If it needs to be 'proved' which to me is insane, I would welcome a moderator who can see a location from an IP address to confirm my location as not in Australia.

Some of you guys are bloody mad!

He might have had a stopover in Singapore. What do most people do when they're stuck in an airport? duck into message boards, of course.

Boring family andrei? or do they just not like talking to you?

Or, like you, are they an enigma of your over-active imagination?

andei are you upset because you were found out your are B/S. Like i said in my opening post you posted on a thread at 6.47pm on Sunday and I check on webjet site

http://travel.webjet.com.au/webjettsa/home.aspx?flight_search_action=http%3A%2F%2Ftravel.webjet.com.au%2Fwebjettsa%2Fhome.aspx&TripType=OneWay&CityFrom=MEL&DateOut=2010%2F9%2F12&CityTo=Las+angeles&DateBack=2010%2F9%2F15&TravelClass=ECONOMY&NumAdult=1&NumChild=0&NumInfant=0&EntryPoint=Flight&RequestFrom=Outside&x=60&y=13

and there is only 2 flights from Melbourne at night 1 at 8.45pm and it takes 14 hours 20 minutes the other 1 at 11.45pm and it takes 28  hours 55 mintues, and don't you have to be at the airport 2 hours before your flight. So how come you can post at 6.47pm on Sunday and then be online at 1.00pm on Monday and is't funny as soon as I posted this thread you went off line 5 mintues after I posted it.

If you are going to B/S make it good so no one knows you are. I think most of your post are B/s anyway.

Andrei asked that a moderator check where his IP address is, and it is exactly where he says it is.

So all of you who have been making false accusations about him should apologise, if you care about behaving decently, and if you are capable of admitting you made a mistake.

I have been very critical of Andrei's views on certain subjects, but I do not condone accusing people of lying, without very, very good reason, and in this case you have no reason, as his IP address and service provider are exactly where he says they are.

mozzaok he might be in America now but I can't see how he could be in Melbourne at 6.47pm on Sunday when he said early in the week that he was leaving on Sunday and only 2 flights left Melbourne on Sunday night. If he left earlier then Sunday why did he say he was leaving on Sunday then.

The times don't work out from when he said he was leaving to when he came back online on Monday. Unless he wasn't in Australia at all so he B/S somewhere along the line.

The honorable thing is to just say sorry jack.

The flight schedules are neither here nor there, and whilst it may be difficult to do, admitting a mistake, is far better than compounding it by looking for other ways to justify it.
It's your call, but I know that I respect people that are big enough to say sorry when they need to.
I remember it was one of the reasons I found Howard so hard to respect, when he kept making excuses for not saying Sorry to our indigenous aussies for their past suffering.

Thanks to Mozza for hopefully putting this absurd "issue" to bed.

Not that the old Labor fool will ever apologize, I've seen plenty like him - big on accusations, short of apologies.

The fact he also went on webjet is a bit concerning.

Jack, I am not one for lying. I have my opinions, people like them or not, most don't. That's fine with me. My political 'heroes' for want of a better word are Margaret Thatcher, Ronald Reagan and in Australia Paul Keating.
People who said what they thought and you can take it or leave it.

If I am in the US, I'll say so. If I am in Australia I'll say so. If I am in Ulan Bator, I'll say so.
The post you actually picked up on was actually to smithy as I know he is coming here, not sure why you would want to pick up on it then go searching webjet.
Ah well, who am I to question how the idle spend their time.

PS - If it really puts your mind at rest, have a look at the Sydney - LAX flight with Virgin Australia. 8.45pm leave - 5pm US arrival.

This is one area where this site craps all over Yahoo in that Mozza can easily confirm I am in California through ISPs etc.
May help others who are subject to the inane accusations of a lunatic few.

Now hopefully this is all clearly up and Jack will apologise.
Nah, probably not.  ;D ;D

to mozz the mod...hoping to help to clear this  up ...

Trouble is mozzack- andrei has been caught out on lying before. So I'm guessing it is hard to know when he is telling the truth. Hence riverina jacks query

I am not so sure an apology is  really warranted when  riverina.jack and a few others were only questioning andrei's where abouts, pretty harmless really. When over the years andrei has verbally attacked with very low adjective descriptions of many of us from  the left.

But I dont believe in an eye for an eye.

So For my small contribute comment  that warranted the reply of the dumbest person on these board answer from andrei( which I must say is quite mild compared to when he referred to me as a goat and a dead dog) ... I will say SORRY andrei for doubting you were not in America....

baha is a schoolyard bully boy.

Andrei can be wherever he wants to be, just like Walter Mitty.

Proxy server....too easy!

You can try using HideMyIP; it's a program that changes your IP
hiding the real one and switching it to an American or British one...
You can download a 14-days free trial from the link in the source box ;)
I used it for a few day to get access to the international version of some sites,
to avoid been redirected to the national version, and it worked...
Good luck!

Can we just get over that puss-box, because  it's people here talking about it that's breathing life back into these miserable attention-whores posts.

Sometimes I wonder if it's the trolls themselves complaining about themselves over here, just to keep their own virtual memory alive...no joke, you have no idea how tragic some of them were over there, was like watching a leper fall apart mentally leaving pieces of brain behind in every forum they posted in.

Post around them, or just report the twits to Moz, it's all you need to do to make them stop, but sitting here talking about it/them would be giving them a yahdon.

Pansi - I may look into that site you mention.
I have terrible trouble trying to play the radio from the UK to follow the football with it telling me it is unavailable outside of Britain because of copyright rights etc etc.

I am the first to admit to not being particularly IT minded but I would assume this site type wouldn't be able to allow you to pinpoint an exact IP location or an Internet Service Provider in that region?

Just merely stating I told Smithy I was going to San Diego and I am pretty sure Mozza will be seeing my location as exactly that with the US service provider that I use too.
Be surprised if this site you mention does that but who knows.

I would agree that this sort of nonsense has no place on here.

Like I said before, it is worrying you have an idiot like Jack running around checking webjet sites etc etc and then making accusations.

I'd like to think Mozza has kept it up to give him a chance (and you and Vegi) to apologize.
Obviously he hasn't, no surprise there though.

As for me being Walter Mitty - Nope never been anything that I am not. An Accountant from Britain who lived in Australia for a while and was born there.

Baha can be a tad harsh on people too, but he gets a lot of crap from people too - which I find is unwarranted.

I am not one for personal insults. I tend to try and stick to political topics.

Singapore Airport is cool. They have free Wifi that's fast enough to make skype calls. They also have a slippery slide for bored transit passengers.

It's probably my favourite place to transit.

Cleanest airport and best run I have ever been to as well.
I know the airport really well but know Singapore not at all. I have only ever transited there but done it often.

It's an example of how well run that place is.
Sparkling clean, ordered, service is fantastic and polite.

Compare to Heathrow or LAX which are dirty, some base level worker who couldn't give a toss, wait in line for hours etc.

We could learn something off Singapore .

I'm told it's possible to falsify IP header data. You'd probably know better than I.

For what it's worth, posts under the handle Andrei.Hicks indicate that the personality behind them is a truly nasty piece of work. I disagree with the opinions expressed and disbelieve the assertions made. The posts are often so far out on the lunatic fringe that I wonder if they're trolls.

That poster has worked hard at making himself a pariah. The wisdom of damning the consequences of success is questionable. I've seen him complain about failing in an attempt to dole-bludge. I've seen reports of him bragging about evading Australian taxes.

What I'd like to see is some way of filtering the forum, so I never see posts by some members. Something similar to the Ignorelist in PM Preferences. Though I regret having to say it, some posts are not worth the time it takes to scroll past them. That would also make the forum troll-unfriendly: once people figure out what they are, they'd be starved of the attention they crave.

I have been very critical of Andrei's views on certain subjects, but I do not condone accusing people of lying, without very, very good reason, and in this case you have no reason, as his IP address and service provider are exactly where he says they are.

He/she is a troll David, a very good one too. The job of a troll is to go from post to post angering people with outlandish controversial views, simply to rile them. For instance, if someone says they're unemployed, he will brag about his jet-setting lifestyle.

There are other known trolls that have come over from Yahoo message boards, lisa, mellie and bahamian ( who has a list of multi's). They come into a debate just to overtake and eventually ruin it.

Your idea is a good one, and I have seen other forums with an ignore button, so maybe it can be done.

Censorship implies manipulating the information available to others. I just want some control over what I have to endure.

Similar to the difference between Labor's policy of filtering the Internet at the ISP level, against the Howard government's provision of free filters for home use under the NetAlert program. One is imposed from above, the other is controlled by the individual.

Exactly right Woody, if you cant take the heat get out of the kitchen.
If you want everyone to agree with you start a yahoo group for like minds, you can sit there all day & blow smoke up each others ass.
However if you wish to voice your opinions & have them challenged this site and others are the go.
Yes there are trolls who like to stir & get reactions but so what, they are easy to pick either ignore them or stir back.
Its not hard to get the unhinged frothing at the keyboard & frankly it's fun :D

I just think some people need to be censored for the sake of everyone else. By having the ignore option, the decision is up to the individual user. Selective censorship.

A good working example of a forum is the finance section of Yahoo message boards, just sensible debate and opinions being thrown forth, lots of disagreements, without the shenanigans.

An ignore button would give an individual a bit of breathing space from the one or two trolls and it would take some of the pressure off the moderators.
The only people who would lose out are the few people who get off by annoying others  :)

Oi Pansi, what do you know about Lisa/Mellie? What did they used to do on Yahoo's boards?

This explains it better than I ever could. They make mischief and get a kick out of destroying forums.

from website flayme.com/troll

What Is A Troll?

The term derives from "trolling", a style of fishing which involves trailing bait through a likely spot hoping for a bite. The troll posts a message, often in response to an honest question, that is intended to upset, disrupt or simply insult the group.

Usually, it will fail, as the troll rarely bothers to match the tone or style of the group, and usually its ignorance shows.
Why do trolls do it?

I believe that most trolls are sad people, living their lonely lives vicariously through those they see as strong and successful.

Disrupting a stable newsgroup gives the illusion of power, just as for a few, stalking a strong person allows them to think they are strong, too.

For trolls, any response is 'recognition'; they are unable to distinguish between irritation and admiration; their ego grows directly in proportion to the response, regardless of the form or content of that response.

Trolls, rather surprisingly, dispute this, claiming that it's a game or joke; this merely confirms the diagnosis; how sad do you have to be to find such mind-numbingly trivial timewasting to be funny?

Remember that trolls are cowards; they'll usually post just enough to get an argument going, then sit back and count the responses (Yes, that's what they do!)

Now this sounds like exactly what "Pansi1951" has and is doing in this and her/his last few posts.... purposely antagonising people by inference....

Is he in America:

I sure hope so.

Andrei is in America could be used as part of Australias next advertising campaign instead of another shrimp on the BBQ or where the ***** **** are you.

"Andrei is in America - come to Australia"

OR

" Andrei is in America - its safe to come back to Australia".

.

Not the whole day unfortunately, but I do wish you'd check out real soon. We haven't all got houses on every continent. How's the igloo? done any home improvements on it lately?
