Title: Shhh, quite. Don't let the plebs hear us
Post by Cyberman on Aug 23rd, 2010 at 10:42pm

Quote:
Julia Gillard has banned NSW right-wing powerbroker Mark Arbib from appearing on a TV show as Labor tries to prevent internal blood-letting from overshadowing its attempt to retain power.

The prime minister has told the ABC's Q&A program that Senator Arbib won't be available for Monday night's show because he should be focused on "discussing Labor's positive plan for the nation's future".

The program's executive producer, Peter McEvoy, responded by stating Senator Arbib would "be represented by an empty chair at the Q&A desk".

How long before Labor tear themselves apart from the inside? Imagine if these clowns manage to get back in?

The bloodbath will still occur. How stable will that be for a govt?

Labor is in a lot of trouble.

Then again to lose a majority after a disastrous one term, any party would be in internal strife.

I heard this earlier and immediately thought labor was swinging into 'guard' mode.

They've already had Iemma, Maxine and Kenneally slamming them from the inside, they would be horror struck if Arbib said something even slightly out of line.

Too late for the elections, but not to late for a massive backlash in the state elections coming up in March.

Arbib likes to keep in the background at the best of times, and would not like to answer questions that could make him squirm.

This has been a most disgusting and altogether atrocious campaign by both sides.  However, the libs have come across as reasonably steady and in control by comparison.

The depths of animosity that resound around the halls of labor are phenomenal. Iemma, Latham, Rudd and you can add to that list Bligh and many others should the bloodletting continue...and if it does, just watch the leaks then if Bitar and Arbib are given the boot, but I suspect Labor will try and placate them to stop the bomb going off...effectively installing them for another term to do their dirty deeds

Who wants a nest of vipers running the country?
