For 10 months I have been banging on about how labor would lose this election, looks like it has happened.

I was, and have been ridiculed for my thoughts on why and how this happened, and was the reason why 12 months ago had $1000 on the libs at $5.

Perhaps you 24/7 key punchers who clearly rarely leave your house need to get out more and talk to punters in the street to get a clearer idea of voter sentiment and stop just supporting what ever policy labor dole out without questioning it.

Now that I enrolled to vote first time in 20 years, I am now off next week to join the local liberal branch and put forward some ideas for policy that would see any party that adopted those ideas be elected in a landslide. So much so would these policies be adopted that I will not mention them on here they are for the libs only as labor has proven spectaculy that they can not organise or run a chook raffle.

I have said time and time again it was not Rudd as to why the labor wheels fell off it was the labor policies and failurs as a whole, untill you accept that you will not make any in roads again. Rudds problem was he wasn't liked by 80% of the ministers and caucus labors roblems were noone wanted their policies or financial mismanagement.

Failure after failure after failure, billions wasted on diabolical policies complete breakdown on border security the mining tax disaster which you would remember I said was a stupid policy for Rudd to stake his futre on, the ETS or carbon tax that we can not afford. These are the reasons why your lot has been baseball batted, i am surprised it was not a harder hit shows there are still alot of stupid people out there.

Actually I'll give you one policy idea, more jails will be built uniform laws accross the country, info sharing amongst all state police services scumbags taken off the street, life in jail for child molestors and child abducters/murderers, life for large scale ice/meth dealers 10 years for minor players 12 months for posession. Persons guilty of identity fraud ATM skimming etc will face 25 years to life.

Time for a anti social law platform to be introduced, if you do nothing wrong you have nothing to fear, boot camp type setups for kids who go off the rails, and it will be an offence to spit or assault a police or rmrgency services personell, funny how you can tell a coppa to bugger off and the judge dismisses the case, but tell a judge to bugger off and you get held for contempt of court?? why the discrepency???


Things need to change and quickly.

What a fantastic result for Tony Abbott.

As you say, who really would have thought say only a year ago that Labor in only ONE TERM would completely lose its majority and looking like losing Government altogether.

If you look at their primary vote, their vote has collapsed completely.
They are effectively now a Coalition with the Greens. Almost all the time the Labor MP got in with the Greens preferences.

The problem they had was to become electable, Labor shifted to the right. That was to attract people like myself and the millions of other centre-right families.

Problem was, they lost vast support among the Left as a result (hence the Green vote increase) but because of their poor Government, removal of benefits, means testing, economic mismanagement, the centre right also moved back to Abbott.

Hence Labor were squeezed from both ends leading the complete collapse seen in Queensland.

By knifing your own leader in desperation clearly didn't sit well with the people either.

Governments should NEVER lose majorities, after ONE TERM. History shows us that.

This Government has been inept, poor and not speaking for the millions of ordinary families.

The people FINALLY have told them what they think.


Well done Tony Abbott and if we get to see Abbott as Prime Minister, then we will all be the better for it.

In the past few months I've gone from thinking Kevin Rudd will almost certainly stay in for another term, to thinking he will lose a lot of seats to the Coalition but retain government, to thinking Julia Gillard will also probably lose seats but retain government, to finding out she couldn't even retain government. Things have changed in deed over the course of just a few months.

How does this outcome compare election results for past Party Leaders on both sides of politics!?

Surely, his relatively-minor swing and resulting TTP figure in his own seat have gotta be of considerable concern to the Party's powermongers...

Equitist can't bear the fact that neither Hockey (who never wanted to be) or Turnbull (who has a penchant for labor) is sitting at the top of the heap,  and that Tony Abbott had brought the Libs from the depths to taking the majority away from Labor.  

It might interest her to know that both Hockey and Turnbull are of the same religious persuasion as Abbott too - as I believe her hatred of Abbott has something, or a lot, to do with that.

Incidentally Rudd is actually of the same persuasion too .(When it suits him)
