TWO police officers have been suspended after they stopped a 70-year-old motorist for not wearing a seat belt, smashed in his windscreen and dragged him out of his car.
Robert Whatley's terrifying arrest was caught on video (see below) and the footage shows one officer jumping on the car bonnet and kicking the windscreen and the other hitting the glass with his baton 15 times until it smashed.
Mr Whatley, who had recently suffered a stroke, told The Daily Mail: "The police went completely over the top – you would have thought I had robbed a bank.
"I was terrified when they started smashing in the window and trying to kick in the windscreen."
Mr Whatley, from Usk, in Wales, was originally stopped for not wearing a seat belt.
Caerphilly Magistrates Court was told that while traffic police were issuing him with a fine, his Range Rover jumped forward and knocked one of the officers over.

Mr Whatley told the court he drove off because he was feeling vulnerable and was worried he was going to have another stroke.
The traffic officers followed and tried to pull Mr Whatley over again but he thought their sirens and flashing lights meant they were escorting him home.
When he eventually stopped, the officers arrested him - with a patrol car camera capturing the attack on the car.
The magistrates court fined Mr Whatley guilty £235 ($408) for not wearing a seat belt, failing to stop for a police officer and failing to stop after an accident.
Gwent Police said that the two officers had been suspended and that the incident was being investigated.

look at it from the cops perspective...

the bloke takes off while they are issuing him a ticket, runs a cop over, refuses to pull over when they chase him...

no, the cop shouldn't have smashed in his windscreen, but it's not like this little old man was doing nothing wrong.

OK, point one..it was his driver's window, NOT his windscreen that got smashed...
point two, he(the old man) DID resist arrest and DID run over a policeman
and point three...It was in England..NOT Australia...

He should be thankful the cops didn't taser him, what was so hard about pulling over, waiting for the ticket and driving on?

Exactly, as bad as this sounds, the driver (irrespective of of his age) drove off and over a Police Officer. As a former cop and a long line of them in my family, the age of a criminal is not something you look at and generalise.
There will always be people here who side with everyone except the Police, if you haven't lived the thin blue line then by all means make assumptions and be indignant.  The reality is folks commit crimes 24/7 young middle aged and elderly.
A mate of mine told me recently a 78yr old was locked up for killing his wife....he drove his car at her, knocking her down and he is as sane as most here. Age means very little, its what you do....and yes there will be those who lambast me..tell someone who cares   :o

I couldn't care less if they pulled him out of the car, tortured him with red hot pokers and then drove to his grand kids homes and then cooked and ate them.

Why?

Because it happened in the UK.

Sounds perfectly reasonable to me. They had to get him out of the car. Just because he's scared and barely in control of the vehicle doesn't mean they should let him run people over.

shocking video police footage

California Cops Taser Senior Citizen in His Own Home

Kurt Nimmo
Infowars.com
September 2, 2010

In America, now officially a police state, you will be tasered in your own home if you lip off to the police.
Senior citizen Peter McFarland of Marin County, California, discovered this after he fell down the stairs outside his home last year. On June 29, 2009, McFarland tumbled down the stairs and after his wife called paramedics the cops showed up. They entered McFarland’s home and tasered him because they claimed he was suicidal.
“We want to take you to the hospital for an evaluation, you said if you had a gun, you’d shoot yourself in the head,” a deputy can be heard saying on a video of the incident captured on a taser mounted camera. McFarland said the comment was hyperbole made because he was in pain.
“Stand up, put your hands behind your back or you’re going to be tased,” the deputy commanded. McFarland refused, told the police in no uncertain terms to get out of his house, so the cop tased him not once, but three times, as his wife looked on in horror and pleaded with the cops to stop because her husband has a heart condition.
McFarland’s lawyer, John Scott, said the cops did not have a search warrant or any reason to enter the McFarland residence. Scott told KGO-TV in San Francisco his client was arrested, jailed and charged with resisting arrest. A judge later dismissed the charge. McFarland has filed suit against the Marin County Sheriff’s Department.

Cops no longer need a search warrant in order to enter your home and torture you with a device akin to field telephone magnetos used on prisoners during the Vietnam War.
In fact, far too many cops have no idea what the Fourth Amendment stands for or do they understand that in large part the American Revolution was fought because agents of the crown used general warrants to enter homes, interrogate colonists, and seize “prohibited and uncustomed” goods.
John Adams, founding father and the second president of the United States, viewed these events “as the spark in which originated the American Revolution.” Adams and the founders understood a man’s home is his castle, as Edward Coke declared a century before, and a fortress “for his defense against injury and violence,” a concept that seems to be largely lost on many Americans.

Is it possible the actions of new agents of the crown, in the paid service of bankers and transnational corporations, will contribute to a new revolution? Or will we continue to tolerate ever increasing brutality from sadistic cops who enter our homes illegally and torture us for refusing to obey commands and for the impertinence of telling them to mind their own business?

___________

3 minute police video footage about an elderly human being

in his own home

gets tazed by a deputy while another holds his hands,

so that he does not pull out the electrodes

and the deputy tazes him 3 times

"stop resisting,stop resisting!~"

this is unacceptable to humanity and if you do get tasered by police

one may suggest that this is an attempt on your life

and everyone in the vicinity is fair game

as it were

in accordance with the human survival instinct taking into account

cops on a power trip.

Secret Tape Has Police Pressing Ticket Quotas

AL BAKER and RAY RIVERA
The New York Times
September 10, 2010

For nearly every New Yorker who has received a summons in the city — caught at a checkpoint monitoring seat-belt use, or approached by a small army of police officers descending on illegally parked cars — quotas are a maddening fact of life.
No matter how often the Police Department denies the existence of quotas, many New Yorkers will swear that officers are sometimes forced to write a certain number of tickets in a certain amount of time.

A mentally ill man diagnosed with a bipolar disorder was tasered by two Minneapolis Police officers at a YMCA on Friday. The man was not armed but was struggling with police who had been called to the scene. The taser caused his heart to go into cardiac arrest. He is now in a Minneapolis hospital in critical condition after his heart stopped and he had to resuscitated at least twice:
A Minneapolis man shot by police with a Taser last week during an altercation at the downtown Minneapolis YMCA is on life support and is not expected to survive, a family member said Saturday.David Cornelius Smith, 28, suffered from mental illness, said his uncle, Larry Smith, an attorney from Oak Park, Ill. He remained hospitalized Saturday at Hennepin County Medical Center. Family members believe that police mishandled Thursday’s Tasering incident, Larry Smith said. [...]
“I’m sure the police are trained to handle individuals with mental health issues,” he said. “There are a lot of people with mental health issues in this country, and they don’t get Tased by the police.”

Most cops were once kids who got picked on at school.
They get back at society by re-enacting the bullying that they suffered.

French Cops Infiltrated Anti-government Demos

A regional official in southern France has opened an inquiry into the presence of police posing as trade unionists on recent anti-government demonstrations. The move follows claims by unionists and left-wingers that provocateurs stirred up violence in Lyon, Paris and other cities.
Rhone préfet Jacques Gérault on Wednesday confirmed that police officers, wearing union stickers, attended the 19 November demonstration against the government’s pension reforms and ordered the national police to investigate the matter.

Gérault even said that such action is a “tradition” but that he wanted to ensure that they acted according to the force’s professional ethics.
