Does anyone know of a good doctor in Sydney? We're trying to get our child done. I know some are against this medical practice - please keep your views to yourself.

Circumcision is a cultural norm in our family, and we don't want our child to feel any different. It is good for hygeine. Also, we want her to find a good husband when she is old enough to marry.

Does anyone know who can do this operation?

I am not sure of the hygeine. This is a medical question. You will have to ask the doctor.

The husband is someone who will love him, but who also has a good job and can pay. We think money is more appropriate than other goods.

This is a medical question also. I am not sure how it works, but we would like our boy to have it removed. They also give them hormones and drugs as they get older, I think.

We want our child to be circumcised as it is the norm in our family - for the health and other reasons.

It should not matter if she is a boy or girl I don't think. The doctor can perform good surgery. We wish to find a doctor who is qualified.

Once he has the operation we wish to find the right partner. If they get much older it is dangerous as the hormones can make the beard.

I cant help with circumcision but I've got a good pair of de ballers I use on my sheep and goats. I bought them on e bay give it a go.

Horrible topic, but there's been a bit of news recently about female circumcision and some doctors believe it should be made legal as they've had quite a few requests for the procedure.

Do we make it legal? We can't blame it as being a cultural mutilation any longer as western females are having it done for cosmetic purposes.

For whatever reason it's being done - culturally it's abhorrent and cosmetically it's masochistic.

Karnal, I suggest you get a couple of yoni puppetrs and practice at home. When you are ready, you can do it on your girl.

As far as female circumcision goes, I don't understand there to be any rational reason behind it. It seems a bit stupid.
Male cicumcision on the other hand has some rationale but it's rather archaic.
I remember it to be an almost shocking realisation when I discovered that it was actually I who is the deformed dick through circumcision, and not those others with their weird looking socks.  ;D
But it's no big deal, I have no desire to recover my lost foreskin. I'm just happy that some lucky motorist got themselves a damned good fanbelt.

I do believe that for males it is more healthy to be circumcised only because males can be pretty lax where personal hygiene is concerned.
However, I sometimes wonder about the "butterfly effect" of such human interverntions when interfering with nature and the long term effects upon the human race.
We probably all know of those kids who have been wrapped in cotton wool all their lives and end up not being able to handle the threats from human and other lifeforms that are out there day in day out, just waiting to pounce on the weakest in the herd.
We might invent ways to be more powerful than dangerous bacteria in the short term, but who knows how strong they are going to get in the future?

Circumcision isn't at all a big deal to me now. I'm glad that it was done, however, if I was left to be of age to make my own decision about it, then I'd fight to my last dying breath to stop it from occurring.

You hear so many stories about it being hygienic, but that would depend on the hygiene generally of a male. The foreskin is self cleaning and although most males from my generation appear to be circumcised - for a Generation Y male - it is not common.  

Personally I think circumcision should be a choice to be made once the child has a voice and not inflicted on babies who are completely defenceless.  

It's obvious that circumcision is better.

Do some research. Other than the possible embarrassment, I would have no problem having the proceedure done...it is done by anesthetic cream and a plastic ring and rubber band system.

Yes it does depend on the general hygiene of individual males..I personally think it is easier to keep the circumcised willy clean. I don't know about the self cleaning bit, in fact I'm highly sceptical....sounds like a urban myth in bad taste.

Based on a purely cosmetic choice..I would agree. I think the basis for it is more layered than that.

It is said that all childs should be circumcised at birth. What  is your opinion?
