Title: rudds federal hospital scheme Post by sprintcyclist on Mar 4th, 2010 at 8:19am What is it all about ? The AMA are in favour of it - I have a lot of time for them. With rudds track record, I am very hesitant about it. |

Why bother to mention him then? There are a lot of clever, experienced, and qualified people working toward improving our hospital system. Why not give them a mention and some credit occasionally? |

so, the lefty fed govt says the lefty state govts can't run hospitals and all the money should go to the lefty feds who will run it better.
theres no talk of more doctors/nurses. premier of NSW writes asking for more details. rudd says they are running a scare campaign and he will force the money from them. a few weeks ago i was talking to a doctor saying how reputable the AMA is. he used to be a big wig there and said "the problem is the health ministers change too often. By the time they have got a knowledge on how the system works they leave, and we start from the word scratch again." so it's probably something that needs a lot of time and many expert people's input for it to stand a chance of succeeding. |
