Title: Freedom of speech

Mantra is a member here again? Good move.

Unfortunately she doesn't know the foul thing the good christian Sprint said so really shouldn't comment unless she just wants another round of argy bargy but she says she doesn't enjoy that!

It is much worse than what you think, Mantra the Muddled!

I'll start this thread here in response to Monk's comments.

The above sounds like a threat Monk. Does that mean I can't comment on anything you don't like because if I do you've got back up ammunition to silence me?

I realise that AG has the power to ban me on the WSB forum if she chooses and I also gather there's someone else lurking in the background who will come to your defense and attack savagely if you whistle.

Talk about freedom of speech being stifled.

This time around on OP, if I am bullied or intimidated - it will be my turn to make some complaints, regardless of Mozzaok telling a member he was sick of my "S H I T".

Interesting comment Mozzaok - shows your level of maturity also.

I meant exactly what I said. There was no threat. I even said it was good you were back here.

You know, you could instead have PMd me here. You know my language is pretty strong so if it was something that upset me greatly it was more than just a "piss" or a "bugger off." You know, try thinking, Mantra?

Monk - you say something nice, then the next minute you make a derogatory comment about me. I don't mind that so much, but it's the fact that if I respond to these comments or defend myself - your mates jump in - and to the point where the comments are so humiliating and degrading that I have to leave a forum.

Why should I PM you privately when you have the freedom to denigrate me publicly? I should be able to respond publicly also.

As far as Sprintcyclist goes - until he joined your forum, in the years I have been posting alongside him I have never seen him so upset and who could blame him. It's all very well to have people on your side, but when it comes to gang warfare - you let it flourish.

One on one with you - there's no problem, but you need to call off your dogs if you want to be considered fair. You run your forum the same way.

Sounds like another threat Skippy.  Does it mean that you'll drag out more lies and excrement and throw it at me if I respond?

I don't think you even believe most of what you accuse me of. I don't betray anyone's confidence - ever. I don't belittle anyone on Political Menagerie, here or anywhere unless I'm forced to defend myself and I have that right. I don't break any rules and I'm not responsible for what other people do - that also includes your foolishness.

You're never going to pass that uni course unless you tidy up your vocabulary. There are other words and phrases you can use to let people know what you think.

Ho hum, you constantly lie about AG and I on your forum, when you stop doing that and stop coming here to troll us( I thought you had a dummy spit and pizzed off?) I'll stop responding to your lies, its easy, even for a whinging old dear.Though I am sure you'll be back with more of your lies, trolls like you cant help yourselves.

OK – you’re a tough guy Skippy.

There are no lies about you and AG on my forum. If you want the threads in question revived – I’m happy to do so. You and AG continually expose yourselves as the people you really are. I don’t have to do it for you.

As far as pissing off – its my decision whether I come or go – not yours – unless FD suddenly made you global moderator.

Hi mantra, I for one am glad to see you back posting here, but would prefer that we could see, everyone try and post about "Topics" that interest them, rather than just snipe at each other.

Skippy goes over the top when responding to you, and vice versa, Darwin really should try and restrain himself from making derogatory put downs over very minor squabbles, it just degenerates into a silly tirade by one against the other in a never ending battle of tit for tat, and ALL of you have so much more to offer the boards than that.

I have read great posts from all of you, and I have enjoyed seeing your differing opinions on various issues, and I would love to see us go back to that standard of posting, and try and leave the insults right out of the debates.

Once again, welcome back Mantra, I hope you and your family are all well, and I hope to be able to respond to a post from you on a subject that we can debate maturely.

Yes, Mantra, I am the Moderator of this Sub-Forum.

Title: Re: Freedom of speech
Post by mantra on Feb 25th, 2010 at 4:32pm
That’s a relief, but maybe the global moderators are responsible for over-seeing the moderators of the sub-forums then?

It’s the first time I’ve seen a lecture from Mozzaok on how the sub-forums should be run and I’m surprised that his interference was warranted here – considering there has been far worse posted on the other sub-forums and the main board.  These dissenting comments from others seem to have been overlooked though in favour of this thread for some reason.

Sprintcyclist - you're the only one who has the guts to respond to Skippee.

The other "males" on this forum won't say boo to the kangaroo, either because this is how they talk to females or they are scared of his potty mouth discharging on them.

This forum used to be full of gentle, thinking people and now it's open slather, although there's only one person who is allowed to get away with the sort of posting Skippee does and that's him.

Anyone else who posts his sort of crap would have been banned.

Mozzaok - if you're reading this - it's time to stop playing favourites and moderate fairly and that also means not badmouthing long term members privately to other members.

Otherwise this place needs a new moderator.

Oh my god, whinge whine whinge, get over it mantra, unlike your forum everyone here is treated the same, if you want to troll me and lie and whine expect me to respond.

PS, just to show what a hypocrite you are you titled this thread"Freedom of speech" yet what you really mean is that you can whinge and bait  others but they dare not respond.
This isn't your boyfriends forum, if you want the protection to lie and badmouth other people its best done there,or maybe in the thread on your forum titled "Mantra is a Nazi " by Ethnic ,if it still exists and you haven't hidden or deleted it.

Once again - I do not lie and by you continually repeating that you are slandering me.

The thread you refer to is still there.

You win again - I can't compete with your literacy skills and can't find the words in my vocabulary to match yours - nor hopefully ever will.

As far as trolling goes - you're the one following me around. I originally just responded to Monk's comments here because I knew AG wasn't the moderator. As usual he was making derogatory referrals to me.

You forced me off Monk's forum and now this one yet again. I can see Mozzaok is aiming for a high quality of posting here and who better to offer it than you.

Could you and Monk just leave my name out of your ramblings in the future and I will stay well away from both this forum and Monks.

I'm sorry to see that you guys are involved in an argument which may harbour lingering resentments. Maybe it's partially due to too much time spent at the computer screen which has caused a bit of a loss of perspective.

Everybody who knows Mantra should know that she has her heart in the right place and is an almost unattainable standard of where the perfect heart should sit.

It would be a sad sad loss indeed to lose her input in any forum in which she partakes.

Credit is due for Mantra's patience, her understanding, and most especially for her faith that everybody is good at heart in the absense of extraneous pressures. .....now there's a real religion that I could follow in a heartbeat.

I don't know what the argument is about and (for once) I don't want to get involved, but I hope that Mantra's (most probably) sobering input is not being devalued by the flippant, because they won't know what they have lost until they lose it.i

Yes that's true isn't it?
If there is no avenue for reply, then there is no reply. Sometimes I just say "Go Get Fckued" and nobody has a comeback for it  ;D
But seriously, I agree that if there is no assumed flaw in the logic, then there is no sense in trying to debate it. Hence, it doesn't get touched, or it gets attacked from other unrelated angles.i

The other day two women were having a general conversation about men.
One was complaining about her boyfriend. The older, more experienced woman gave a wise advice:

“Just treat them like children and everything will be OK”.

How she was deadly right. So ladies, if you come across with this discussion remember:

Every man is like a boy who desperately tries to find replacement for the lost unconditional mothers love.

Toddlers syndrome
Many men remain on the level of an infant who constantly looking for big warm female breasts.  They usually like Hollywood and other stars with vast “silicon valleys" where they can fulfill their testosterone enhanced security dreams.

Teachers syndrome
Men who managed to grow up to the level of primary school kids are always looking for strict mothers or teachers ( mothers are teachers as well, aren’t they?). Those underage boys always try to find independent and intelligent, surrogate mammies, who will tell them what is the best to do and if necessary to discipline naughty boys like them.

Sorry blokes you have to live with Julia Gillard in charge.

Ridiculous statement which is as true or false with women as it is with men.
People might often chase a perception of their idealistic parent within their partners, if they need one, but it is in no way indicative of the personal self.
All it is is all that they know. When they really get to know something other, then that also becomes a viable choice.
Most people never get the chance to know anything other.

The choice of a facsimile parent is usually just a comfort zone and nothing else.
Some might say that it's laziness to not think outside the square of your own genetics.

Gillard has absolutely no overwhelming influence upon me except for what she will mean to the nation.

Erk! VB, also known as Vietnamese Beer or Vomit Beer (same thing)
is the drink most associated with alco-mo-holics. Cheap and nasty.

New Zealand has the best beers, have one quite a few 'Worlds Best Beer' awards for starters.
I like Speight's "Summit", just to name one.

Tasmanian Beer comes second.

The rest of Australian beers are kinda lame since KB was around.

Title: Re: Freedom of speech
Post by Amadd on Sep 18th, 2010 at 12:48am
Fair enough. I even emailed CUB to ask why VB is tasting so crap these days.

They replied that they had done nothibg much different.
The brewing process was shortened, the alcohol content was lowered, but the beer is still the same.
..Hello?

Title: Re: Freedom of speech
Post by Jasignature on Sep 18th, 2010 at 5:49pm
Take a look at the Yarra River (which I pratically lived upon for a year)
and other Victorian waterways and tell me why VB is the worst beer ever made in this country. The only good thing about it is its 'yobbo-like' promotional strategy.
We all know that Betachord was the superior.
But VHS had superior marketing.
So VB looks set to conquer like a filthy flood.

VB = Alcoholic's Beer ...because it's the last phase until alco-wipes are squeezed.
