What do you do with a child like this? Obviously the boy is trying to kill himself, which would be more merciful than keeping him alive.

The boy has two staff with him at all times, shadowed by two security guards. Maybe - but some people are so damaged - there is no future for them. Look at Dennis Ferguson - the pedophile and serial killers etc. This child is in so much pain that life is unbearable for him and when he finds the right opportunity he may kill himself.

I reckon that it's much easier to accept the wrongs that have been done to you than it is to accept the wrongs that you have done yourself.
That's why I think that it's impossible for an offender of gruesome crimes to ever be rehabilitated. They can't seperate that vile being from themselves, because it is them.

I dont think that completely correct, because if they did accept the wrongs done to them they could see and acknowledege their own wrong doing and inherently know that it is wrong .

So I dont think it is easier. I think victims become so traumatised it changes them organically and they actually cease to be the person they were before the abuse, ie" so unrecognisable even to themselves, thats its impossible to find their authentic self.

Therefore I think eventually very experienced psychologists could unravel this processs and find the root  cause.

Yes the formative years where right from wrong is learnt will also result in the future personality, and a corrupted personality will result in a pretty stuffed up person. We probably all picked them as kids (but unfortunately, I never picked myself).

Yeah I can see that it would be very difficult to override such bad experiences.

There isn't much of a difference between killing oneself or killing another. As killing another 'human being' is an act of killing 'oneself' anyway. Thus the 'insanity' of humans killing humans, humans killing themselves.
A big evolutionary step is insanity, from just killing animals to survive a million years ago.
Makes you wonder how 'insane' Civilisation really is, eh?

Anyway, my guess is that he is not alive.
That the 'System' failed.
That the System was always going to fail.

What would have been the answer of success to save this boy's life?
Then not to just save his life, but prevent him from taking his or another's life due to the violent nature that he was taught from an age before he even turned 5?

There will be quite a few who would say what an excellent killing machine soldier he would become and the Military would be great for him.
On the contrary - he would be more dangerous than any official enemy. Besides killing himself with a gun, he would likely shoot his fellow soldiers or 'abusive' superiors due to the 'abusive' nature of Military training they call 'discipline'.

Sure - big milky breasts from a fostering motherly woman could pacify and settle a 5 year old for probably just a few months, until he comes up for air again. By which time, he would probably bite her nipples off. So Mother-coddling won't help either.

In the very old days, they probably would have 'put the boy down' via an effectively quick weapon, before he grows up to cause even greater harm taking others down with him in his self destruction.
In modern times, in some countries - they would just take the 5 year old out back and put a bullet in his head. It's not like he didn't know such a thing was coming - hence his behaviour, no?

What would I have done for him?

I would have allowed him to hold the gentle hands of the Spirits of 'Old' as they walk him along the shores of the Golden Pond - so that he could see that he did indeed have a better future ahead both in himself and the world he would live in.

...Old People make the best toys any 5 year old could ever have. ;)

His violent behaviour was an expression of that 'broken connection'.
