Yep, chuck them out, and make them pay back every cent they misused.
I am disgusted at the lack of morals of our officials in this modern world. Labor, or Liberal, they are a morally bankrupt lot are they not? I hope we don't see these types of scandals coming from our current greens, or independents. |

What do you mean by "modern world"? It's always been this way hasn't it? Do as we say and not as we do has always been the order of the day. Meanwhile, back at the ranch, the public diversions continue. The North Melbourne footy club gets dragged over the coals for a silly chicken sex video involving a raw and a rubber chicken because it's disrespectful to women. Mind you, it's a political outcry and not a public outcry. Not many people really care what a bunch of footy players do with their spare time? Most probably hope they'll have a bit of fun. |

Fair points ammad, I guess you are right, about corruption not being modern, it is funny how so many succumb to the lure of greed.
I also agree with you about the chicken stunt, what a hullaballoo over nothing. Everybody in the media, seemed to want to be more politically correct than the next guy, but ordinary people just laughed at it. |

HOW!!(Not how?)
Yes indeed, we do vote for 'em, and precious little choice we usually have, bloody minded ideologues on all sides, with the few honest men cast to the shadows and told not to rock the boat. Mind you, I don't know if the union guy was voted in, or appointed, as I have only ever been a supporter of the 'principle' of unionism, and found the practice sadly inferior to the ideal, so never follow their shenanigans too closely. |

Title: Re: Victorian union boss helps support uni students Post by sprintcyclist on Apr 9th, 2009 at 10:25pm mozzaok - that's the sad part about the ALP or every union. If they geniunely follow the principle of being "for" the working person, I'ld imagine they would be voted in ALL the time. Maybe, unionism is more a theory, not really practical ??? |
