It is an interesting interview that The converted Guard gave to The Talking Dog. Here are some parts of it:

Quote:
The Talking Dog: Let me ask you about your own specific observations. While much discussion has been made of accusations of "torture at GTMO" and so forth, rather than labeling things or risking spilling into hyperbole, I'd just like to ask what your own specific observations were in some categories, and if it's only something you heard from someone else rather than observed yourself, please clarify that...

At GTMO... (1) Did you observe anything you would describe as "religiously disrespectful" such as mishandling of the Holy Koran, or serving prisoners pork, or whatever else you would so characterize?

Terry Holdbrooks: I'll have to take those one at a time.

(1) As to "religiously disrespectful", I certainly did see a fair amount of mishandling of the Koran, such as handling it with the left hand, or without gloves (by a non-Muslim) or otherwise not handling it properly. This sort of thing upset the detainees greatly; I would describe this as mostly the fault of the Army rather than the individual guards by and large, because the Army failed to provide appropriate education and training on the environment that would be encountered, and the belief system of the prisoners.

Sounds like a kindergarten woes.

That sometimes happens, people get disillusioned with belief in God, usually because something bad happens and God didn't stop it.

Disillusionment happens to those whose belief is non-existence of a god. because none of THE makes any sense or provide a spark.

I don't believe in a god, but that is not to say it is not possible - I mean we can't even attempt to judge things outside of the cosmos even exist
