If the land area of the Gaza strip is almost the same as the land occupied in the West Bank by Israeli settlers.  Why don't the Palestinians offer the Gaza strip to Israel in return for those lands in the West Bank?

This will resolve the geographic and demograhic problems that exist now.  It will resolve the problem Israel has with the Egyptian/Gaza border.  It will resolve the settlements problem.  It will create a single Palestinian state.

Yes,  that always seemed the obvious solution, and I could only see it being of benefit to them all in the long run.

They just need to let go of the who, had what, when, mentality, that we see used by the likes of Abu.

Everyone needs to recognise it is time to move on, they can't defeat Israel, and they can't live in the past forever, so unless they really just want to continue living in misery, and being pests, they may astound us all and make a rational choice, if the Israelis show the good grace, and good sense, to offer it.

There will be diehard zionists, who no doubt would oppose it, as they show the same intransigence as the Islamists, but hopefully the voice of reason will drown them out.

I used to believe in the voice of universal reason until 10 sept. 01. Of all the shocks afterwards, its loss was the greatest. Paradigm shift.
Palestinians will have to give up islam as a political guide to life before they can accept Israel's right to exist. Will they do it?  Do you think they will reason their way to that point?

i dont believe anyone will ever get any islamic to agree to any "peaceful solution" with israel or any other nonmuslim country ever.

If they did, they would not be islamics.
