You are going insane due to the inhalation of aerosol sprays. The dragonfly is not attacking you. You could crush it in your hand. It is a delicate little insect, not a monster.
I suggest opening a window. It will solve both your problems. |

for real man I don't think you understand! this thing was like half dragonly half scorpion it took so much mortein to kill it- there was a dense fog in my living room afterwards. It was like London in the 1800's if I get brave enough to take the big book off that I threw onto it when it finally entered its death throes on the floor, then I am so taking a photo to prove to everyone how evil it was I am having visions of the camera flashing and it comign back to life and trying to eat my face though |

Anyway, you finally got me over to your forum, lol. :) |

You want to see some of our preying mantises here in Central Qld. I've seen them 15cm long. Getting them out of you hair can be a major operation :)

There was this huge huntsman running across the floor and I threw a DVD cover at it and missed and then it ran at me and I screamed. Then it ran under the desk and I sprayed it with insect spray and now I can't see it and the mortein is running out!
There's no one else home :( I want my daddy :( |

Huntsmen kill funnelwebs... leave it alone and it'll leave you alone.
Mind you i had one in the shower with me once... I tried to talk some sense into it but to no avail. I tried gentle persuasion... but no. Unfortunately it ended up dead. |

"The huge spiders were perhaps the ugliest and most frightening of all the giant insects. The spiders would often spin a web from one side of the street to the other. Automobiles would become hopelessly entangled int he mesh and their owners would have to abandon them. In the country, a spider would often spin a web from one tree to another, manufacturing a net inescapable to any victim trapped within it. On a dark night people didn't see the web and they'd stumble into it blindly. If no one arrived to cut the person out of the web, the victim might die of starvation. If the spider were to return, the helpless victim would be at the mercy of the spider's whims."
The only sure thing against these beasties and their Marsian masters is to play a piece of yodeling music, "Indian Love Call" by Slim Whitman, which causes Martian brains to explode. (c) - Mars attacks |

I agree. Do you know the dragon fly is on the point of extinction. Insects are beautiful creatures and if given the chance they will get out of your way quick smart. Did you also know an English boy asphyxiated himself with a Lynx deoderant last week - so be careful with the toxic sprays. I'd rather be bitten by a dragon fly than choke to death on solvents. A boy of 12 collapsed and died after using 'copious' amounts of deodorant in a cramped bathroom, an inquest heard. Daniel Hurley was overcome by solvents in the Lynx Vice spray and his heart began to beat irregularly, the hearing was told. His father Robert found him collapsed in the bath at the family home after spraying on too much of the deodorant. Mr Hurley said he had desperately tried to revive Daniel but the schoolboy died in hospital five days later from cardiac arrhythmia - or abnormal heart rhythms. He told the inquest in Derby on Wednesday that Daniel 'was always putting gel on his hair and spraying deodorant'. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1087772/Boy-12-collapsed-died-using-Lynx-deodorant.html |

Gaybriel, you need to do what G. Gordon Liddy did.
At the ripe old age of 6 or 7 he decided that he was too much of a wimp. So he picked the thing he was most afraid of, a giant wharf rat, caught one, killed it, cooked it and ate it. Said he wasn't scared of them any more. But I do agree with Emily, better when they are outside doing their job. |
