Perhaps you didn't notice AN, but the server crashed and we went offline for a while. I had to sign up to a new host. I ahve restored everything I was able to. If the old host ever gets back online, I will be able to restore the missing posts. I think there is a good chance of this happening.
It was not some kind of targetted censorship. |

We'll see.
My statements still stand though. |

Tyrant is a bit harsh but it is obvious that he has liks to some pro immigration lobby and most likely does not live in the real world with the rest of us. We are not all Chardonnay drinking liberals and that makes our opinion less valid or uninformed.

What makes you think I have links to some pro immigration lobby?

So your not denying the chardonnay drinking liberal ;)

A chardonnay drinker is usually known as one of the "chattering classes" .... little "l" liberal ... i.e. swinging voter (or professional laborite or greenie). They have never voted for the Liberals in their lives. :P However they think they are above the usual "working class" ALP voters. ;) |

Thats a fair assessement, I couldnt have put it better myself.

Though I agree in principle with some of the sentiments because I have been critical of freediver's bias and disinclination to actually engage but this thread is a bit harsh chaps.
Criticise his position, his politics and his prejudice but don't attack the dude with such venom. This might be the web but fair play should still be in play. |

Hmmm. Perhaps the same constructive advice could be given to your friend IQ? |

Or alternatively to you. However this thread is not about IQ nor you. Why don't you try to stick to the topic instead of making it all about your issues? What do you think about the thread, in particular the attack on freediver? |

My post was in response to your hypocritical post deepthought. You offered selective commentary on AN's comments to FD. AN was a bit harsh - but while you feel free to critically comment on his post - at least try to practise what you preach when you get on your soapbox. |

As you are determined to hijack the thread for your own issues I refrain from commenting. I stand by my original post that the attack on freediver is unwarranted. You may wheel your barrow about by yourself mantra. Feel free to turn every thread onto your issues but don't expect my participation. |

Title: Re: Freediver, AKA Josef Stalin Post by mantra on May 17th, 2008 at 12:20pm
Fair enough DT. But comments made recently in PA & Cracker by another poster didn't elicit a similar response from you.
I have no problem with the way FD runs his board. Considering some of the comments he's had to put up with in the past, he could have banned more people. |

WTF, are you some kind of loony Aussie Nationalist?
I am always very wary of zealots who cloak their fanaticism as 'Nationalism'. I think I have a photo from your last picnic, I'll see if I can dig it out. small_clan.jpg (28 KB | 41

Maybe we need some justification.
http://www.austlii.edu.au/au/legis/cth/consol_act/rda1975202/ Section 18C to be precise. Somebody is bound to make a formal complaint at some stage. (I hope) The more the merrier. |

OK, so the server crashed. That explains why I couldn't get on the other day. I thought that it was my current locale (EU) but evidently not.
Play the ball, not the man. Agree or disagree with the opinions or politics but calling someone a tyrant or comparing them to Josef Stalin is unwarranted. Cheers! :) |

The supposed accidentally lost thread replies have not yet returned.
THEY WERE INTENTIONALLY DELETED! So i am justified. |

I'll be less of a tyrant myself, and rename this thread ''Freediver Jerk''.

Seriously AN - the whole site crashed for about a day and a half. There are lots of innocuous posts that haven't been resurrected as well. Your posts haven't been that outrageous recently and there would be no reason to delete them. It's amazing that FD managed to restore as much as he did in such a short time. Many other sites lose everything, so the majority of our posts must have been backed up. |

Freediver, i dont care anymore about the losses.
I retract my statements and say you are neither a Tyrant nor a Jerk. You do a good job running this site. |

Thanks AN.
What's with the 'ex aussie nationalist' thing? Is that just a reference to your old name, or have you had a hcnage of heart? |
