So why do some people opt for a relationship and some opt for just sex?

Some go for a one night stand, some advertise in the local bleeding hearts column genuinely looking for something different ?

Good question Sprintcyclist.

I think fear makes people just opt for sex - fear of getting involved and then hurt perhaps. On the other hand, it's often an ego boost, makes you feel good about yourself - temporarily only of course. Those who choose or want a long term relationship are either scared of being alone, or they genuinely want to open their heart to another person and share their life.

Those who opt for the relationship are the more courageous - they are willing to care for another person, regardless of the risk of being hurt.

Maybe we all want relationships..but opt for sex in the meantime..some relationships spring from sexual encounters..some spring from friendship.

But yes we are all different.
