Post by Aussie Nationalist on Feb 19th, 2008 at 2:04pm
So what is your opinion of him so far?
I'm not too keen on the apology on principles though at the same time i applaud Rudd for refusing them compensation.
Still more to be seen.

Oceans - I agree as well.  I'm a bit cynical generally of all politicians - but I think even if Rudd has lapses in judgement occasionally - he has too many good staff around to keep him on his toes.

Look at today - all the news about a taxpayer funded nanny for his youngest child.  I found a tiny little mention that Rudd is paying the proportion of wages of this staff member in relation to the duty of caring for his son.  The media generally have managed to leave that out.  There is also the matter of security - since Howard, security has had to be stepped up - so his child should be guarded at taxpayers expense..

Howard had three children with him in Kirribilli House.  It would be interesting to know what he billed the taxpayer for in relation  to them.

As I don't support part time jobs over full time ones, I don't believe in allowing fewer young Australians to go to uni, I am not at all fond of high interest rates, I don't think bunging money at the aboriginal problem works as bunging money at it created it in the first place, I don't like the public service reducing its numbers, I am not keen on the falling value of Australia's industry which will result in many job losses, I have no interest in a cable in the ground, I don't believe every kid should be given a computer by the taxpayer, signing up to a treaty which will send jobs off shore is not agreeable to me  . . . .

Terrible I'd say because I love Australia.

I voted Liberal.

Life is full of surprises.  I am also surprised you didn't comment on the topic.  How do you rate Rudd so far?

I rate him very highly. That I don't agree with his ideas is beside the point.

hhmmm, 4/5 so far.

From a strong Johnny supporter to turn tail and follow Rudd instead...... Sprint, you truly are a Christian. No sense of direction.

Can you qualify that sprint?  Why the rating of 4 out of a possible 5?  That would make him pretty effective in your eyes.

I congratulate Sprint for having a mind of his own and not displaying the lemming mentality so reminisecent of some in here.
No need to qualify..Sprint has always admired certain traits that Rudd possesses.

Thank you sprint.  Tell me, why are you posting as Oceans?

AusNat - hhahahah

Rudd is VERY effective. 4/5 is probably a hard call for him in hindsight.
What he has done in the time he has been there is amazing.

Oceans - I call it flexible. Some that know me call it fickle.  :-)
Still , Rudd is the PM now. Look what he has done.

No thank you - I heard what you do with it d!ck.

Tell me Mr Phugingsmith, what bit is he doing good so far?  The bit which reduces uni places?  Or the bit which has quite a few unions threatening strikes?  How about the bit where he tried it on to get the taxpayers to cough up for a nanny for his teenager?  Or the bit where he buggers off while everyone else has to go to parliament?  Could it be the bit where the interest rates are going through the roof?  Or perhaps the bit where part time jobs are replacing full time ones in the insecurity of a new IR tyranny?  The bit that has Centrelink and Foreign Affairs reducing services to Australians?

Have I covered the bits that are good in your opinion?

Buggered if I know.  But, you certainly have covered the irrelevant trivia.

Do carry on.

You have a huge task ahead.........to keep that garbage going for at least ten years.

I know - considering it's only been a couple of months it's a frightening list of incompetency isn't it?   Still I guess we all expected it - you seem quite resigned to it, perhaps even delighted, Little Cardboard Kevvy has bent you over and is rooting you soundly.

You think jobs, uni places, interest rates and reduced services to be trivial.  How peculiar.

I dislike Rudd a lot less now that I found out he is in to shooting sports.

Title: Rudd's hospital revamp
Post by freediver on Mar 25th, 2008 at 2:34pm
We seem to have lost the Kevin Rudd thread. Please report any other missing threads on feedback.

This is a great idea and should have been dealt with a long time ago. The inefficiencies caused by the different state vs federal funding of hospitals and nursing homes has been publicicsed for years.

Rudd's hospital revamp

http://www.theaustralian.news.com.au/story/0,25197,23426875-601,00.html

KEVIN Rudd will pay states to clear hospital wards of 2000 elderly people who are occupying bed-space but should be in nursing homes.

The Prime Minister will bankroll "transitional" facilities under a $158million plan to ensure acute-care beds are used by people requiring surgery or treatment for severe medical problems.

Patients undergoing rehabilitation will also be moved to the new beds, which will cost taxpayers 10 times less to operate than acute-care beds in conventional hospital wards.

Fantastic 'idea'.  How will it work?  Where are the new nursing homes being hidden?

I'm starting to swing towards disliking him, I think he is either underestimating China, or is in on the plan to slowly hand over Australia to the Chinese.

KRudd, i believe i'll go [smiley=thumbdown.gif] to you.
