Title: Adversity, sadness, pressure and oppression Post by sprintcyclist on Nov 9th, 2007 at 9:06pm
Adversity, sadness, pressure and oppression.
Not really an uplifting title. Without them we become soft, settled, accepting and weak. We need adversity to give us something we have to struggle against. We need the struggle to give us the opportunity to build strength and resilience. Sadness gives us the balance. Without it how do we gauge happiness? Countries that have little sadness have higher suicide rates. They don't know when they have it good. They have nothing to struggle against to give meaning. A land with no clouds means a long term drought. Sadness is the clouds. Pressure is a natural part of life. Without pressure we die. Astronauts who are in space for a long time can hardly walk when they return. They need the pressure. Oppression makes us appreciate, value and strive for our freedom. |

Looks like kanga is another incarnation of the resident idiot- There must be some kind of 'men in white coats' organisation that Kevvy could set up another committee for to help these 'less than fortunate'.

I think it makes perfect sense.
You can't know happiness if you have never felt sad. all these sicko phrases from a fruitcake a r sehole. I think you are the fruitcake, and those with low intelligence will resort to abuse when they don't understand. What, exactly is it, that gives you the impression these comments are from a "sicko fruitcake". |
