NSW Health Minister Reba Meagher has condemned a Canberra high school for allowing a 16-year-old student to take smoke breaks between classes. Tara Lewis has been granted permission by teachers at Stromlo High School, in the ACT, to take "smokos" because her doctor said she was clinically addicted to nicotine, News Limited reported. |

And? What if she's clinically addicted to sex? Have a root between classes doc? Can you believe the doctor that advocates an entitlement to smokos because you're an addict. And can you believe a school which allows it to happen. I'm glad I live in Queensland. |

Interesting case. If the world was perfect. He would be forcibly shipped off to a government run rehab facility. It would be illegal to sell tobacco commercially. Alas, cigarretes generate too much money for the governments. But too their credit, the govnerments are slowly phasing them out. Better late then never.

ACT Education Minister, Andrew Barr, was on the news the other night stating categorically that no ACT student had been permitted to take smoko breaks in any ACT school.
I wonder who is telling porkies? |
