I think it stems from an inability to handle differences of opinion maturely. Some people are bored and others just take every bait that is thrown their way.

Yes nature is important.  At times in the past I have gone shopping to alleviate boredom and unhappiness but for me it is kinda a distant from myself thing - I kinda drifted in a lonely way around the stores even though I was quite pleased to get something I wanted. Going for a walk helps me deal with turbulent emotions. Haven't doen it for a while now.
