Title: Are Online Relationships Worthwhile?
Post by oceansblue on Oct 31st, 2007 at 9:50am
Do you have an experience of an online relationship?
How did it differ from a non online relationship?

I hear of some very happy couples resulting from online meetings.
I too have met some great pple online, not for relationship but definitely became flirtatious.

This has caused me to wonder, maybe I should have not been so wary and taken them further.

Thoughts?

I think that if you happen to find the right person then it is very worthwhile taking an online relationship further. However i think you are no more likely really to find the right person online than you are to find them anywhere else.

As for company and friend online relationships yes i think they are worthwhile. But again- it is how you find it.  I have certainly met several people on line that I am glad i do not know in real life.

Its more and more common these days-marriage resulting from having met the right one online.

Online relationships can be very heartbreaking as well.

I think we were more likely to work out in reality because we spent so much time online talking together and were honest, if that is any help.

Yes connie I think your right .

Too many unkowns regarding online relationships.

Maybe untruths and not being able to talk openly and freely to the other. At least face to face we can see facial expressions and so much less misunderstandings occur.

That would seem logical, but of course thats only the way I see it.

Im way off track here I think.
