After rain the air and world feels clean and invigorating doesn't it?

Connie - it does.
Everything is rinsed, even the air.

Water is used in many beliefs for ceremonies.

Hindus use the waters of the Ganges, christians have baptisms.
Swimming in the ocean is a spiritual experience.

I guess though being realistic water can be devestating too. Tsunami comes to mind, or flood.
