Title: Good parody on Rove last night--
Post by DonaldTrump on Jun 25th, 2007 at 11:02am
I hate to admit it... but I watched Rove last night and  found one of the parodies on it... concerning politicians giving themselves a pay rise... quite humourous.

It was set up like a cross between 'Government announcement' and a 'salvation army donation ad.'

It's a bit hard to describe... but it had a woman's voice-over with soft piano music against still pictures of our federal politicians. With the voice-over popping off phrases  such as, 'you can help John Howard get his fifth ferrari' etc etc.

Thought it was pretty good.

I saw that, that was about the funniest thing on the whole show.

Also liked Rove's 10 driving commandments, especially No. 10 "thou shall not refer to my Monaro as 'fully sick', unless it is covered in vomit"  ;D ;D ;D

I really haven't watched Rove in a while, but i thought i would watch it since i wanted to see Will Andersen (his my favourite comedian). Those guys from Knocked Up and Michael Buble were not that entertaining, like spitting water into another person's mouth is supposed to be funny. what are we, 10 years old?

The director from knocked up.. the fat guy... had a really annoying, freaky laugh. I liked how polite Buble was... must have a bit of poof in him. I think hes a genuinely nice guy though.

Yeah... the parody surprised me... up there with some of David Letterman's very best political parodies...like presidential inspirational speeches. I hope, like freediver says... it turns up on youtube soon... so everyone can see the quality. Rove usually does krappy work.... so he's improved a bit since he changed to Sunday night and went on Jay Leno. The Americans must be giving him funds for new writers or something now... because that was top notch comedy. Best Australian political parody I've ever seen.

Well done Rove.  [smiley=thumbup.gif]
