New Zealand authorities have blocked a couple's bid to officially name their new son "4real," saying numerals are not allowed.

Pat and Sheena Wheaton said they decided to name their new baby "4real" shortly after glimpsing him for the first time as a foetus during an ultrasound examination and being struck by the reality of his impending arrival.

But when the parents filed the name with New Zealand's Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages, they were told names beginning with a number were against the rules.

The government office has opened negotiations with the parents about the name under a policy that says all unusual names must be given case-by-case consideration.

Satan and Adolf Hitler were proposed names that have been declined, he said.

If no compromise has been reached by July 9, the baby will be registered as "Real" officials say.

giving a child a name they will have to spell forever  is enough to drive you mad......years ago a man who lived in our street was called Sir Smith..his brother was called Earl Smith...now Sirs second name was Fredrick...one day a guy came looking for him   knocked on our door and asked did Sir Fredrick Smith live there....my mum told him  where he lived but that he wasnt a Knight...lol the guy was a debt collector...he said I will call him Fred Smith and he can do what he likes with it...lolol.... the street had a good laugh at his expense....

I knew a Gary in Japan and felt sorry for the man for having such an unfortunate name as it sounds like the Japanese word for diarrhoea.

That's terrible.
Considering the Japanese language, when spoken, sounds like someone is constipated and trying to take a dump in the first place. They always try to push their words out of their arses with some effort.

Did you hear that Japanese women are standing up for the right to wear their 'glasses' at work!? Yep - the stupidity of the Japanese can be astounding. Must be a lack of variation in their gene pool. ::)

One of my babymamas decided to call her daughter "Blossom". I thought "WTF???" If I was less of a deadbeat dad, I would have told her off for that silly name.
