How old is too old?

My previous girlfriend was 8 years older than me, and I have a thing for older women. Mainly because they're more experienced, caring and appreciate certain qualities that younger girls overlook. Furthermore... women... from late twenties to mid-thirties.. .are more attractive IMO. I know it's a weird trait of mine.

So, is there anything wrong with aiming for older women? Not too old, :P but about 8-10 years older.

In saying that though, dating olde women has its consequences too. I've found that they're also 10 times more serious with a relationship, want to have kids before their body clock expires and want a 'reliable' man.

hhmm, I have found a woman about my age is about right. Similar ideals, wants etc etc etc.

I am 45 now, find women in early 40's REALLY magnificant.
At work, many young women there but start to chat to them and they are just mentally and emotionally not happening.
I am hopelessy outnumbered there, but VERY nice place to work all the same.   :)


Younger women are very self centered. As are younger men, so a good match.
Funny thing, women are their most fertile about 17 - 18. About when men are polevaulting hourly.
I also think we shoud have kids when young.

Relationships between older women and younger men can be very successful and stimulating DT. I agree totally.  Older women love younger men.

An older woman can offer not only her experience, but an understanding and patience that a younger women usually can't or won't give.  On the other hand, young men are so open to new ideas and experiences and there's a vulnerability about them which is often appealing to an older woman.  They haven't become set in their ways and can show the mature woman an adulation, which of course is flattering and can rekindle emotions which she has long forgotten but the younger man is looking for.

As long as the age difference isn't too vast - and at your age 10 years difference is good, go for it and savour it.  These relationships have so much to offer and can give both parties something wonderful to remember.

Theres nothing weird about this- a lot of younger men want to experience older women, the same way a lot of girls are attracted to older men.When I was a teen,17, I was attracted to a 45 yr old man. It was weird I thought at the time. I mean there were  guys vying for my attention ,but I was fixated on this older man. Of course he knew I was a child and was careful not to compromise himself.

So we never know who or why, its all a mystery, but I think in many ways natural. Women become sexually more 'alive' at a later age than men , so they crave the virility and passion a younger man has to give-as women , it is natural that the two mesh very nicely and complement each other sexually. As the same is true for older men who want to teach and experience younger women.

Men come to sexual maturity very early, women quite a few years later. this is the reason for this.So Donald your at your sexual peak now perhaps?

The other point you made earlier Oceans - about realistic expectations - that is the most important concern of all.  Often the older person in the relationship has them, but the younger person, being more idealistic, doesn't, and it can be hurtful and in some cases  damaging long term, depending on how intense the relationship is.
