Title: Shane and Simone Warne. Post by maille on Apr 29th, 2007 at 9:25pm
This is a very public relationship.
I think that the publicity surrounding thier realtionship was detrimental to their marriage , but by the same token it seemed Simone actively sought out publicity as the wronged wife etc. I would be most unhappy if as the partner of Simone , the dirty laundry was hung out for all to see regardless of the circumstances. any thoughts. |

As per ususal the woman automatically gets ALL the sympathy.
The magazines were dreadfully biased. She got on a few ditzy tv shows, all said how she is forging ahead etc etc etc. Total rubbish. Meanwhile Shane Warne is bowling his way into the history books and has to watch his (ex?) wife on tv dancing with strangers while 1/2 nude, he bears manfully the scalding words in the trash mags. Behind the glaring headlines of the mags, Simone seemed quite "normal" and nice. She did not bag him ever that I read. Which is a really really strong good thing to not do. In my vote, good on you Simone. Shane had erred. He knows that and has atoned for himself. The proof of that is in her public comments, his cricket deeds and that they are now together again Typical fare from poor journalists. |

" --------------- I must admit I felt rather sorry for Shane-he was just trying to get on and do cricket and as you say Sprint and HOW--he is a bowling legend the world over. I was rather dissapionted Simone thought it appropriate to discuss theyre marriage to any journalist who would listen--discussing if she should /would give him a second chance. This is personal stuff and not up for public discussion. If I were Shane I would have been totally not happy. Underneath it all there must have been enduring cohesiveness for they are now together again for the kids etc. This time I agree with you about the bias of the press and how Warney got a short shrift. Warne is hardly appreciated in my book and its very ungrateful of Aussies in general considering his status on the world stage. |

No, I'ld probably be unimpressed by Simones media moves.
She was only ever a "celebrity" because she was Shanes wife still. The headlines on the magazines were not at all what she said inside the mags. I read a number of them. She was really pretty ok. Maybe it was a catharatic thing for her ? Shane was the one who erred, so Simone is not the one "at fault". |

I dont disagree it was Shane who 'erred' but a marriage and its problems unless abusive and dangerous is noone elses business. I think Simone was out for payback, by exposing his dalliances-but at the same time-she dishonoured theyre marriage vows. If the tables were turned how would she had liked it if Shane put her 'wrong doings 'out there for public ridicule? A marriage is for' better or worse' and its not written into the contract 'and if your truly bad I can run to the press and publicly destroy you as a man.' This is the bit I had a problem with.Thats not love. We,ve all experienced a degree of hurt from an errent partner-but never tempted to do this-not ever. |
