The 'gay man causing aids' thread inspired this poll.

What do you think causes gay men to be gay?

Do you think it's society? Society meaning... it was the way they were raised that caused them to grow up with that kind of mentality. Therefore, if they were treated the correct way by their parents, they would otherwise have grown up to be perfectly normal and straight.

Do you think it's genetic? Meaning that there's some kind of gay gene in people and if gay people are born with it, it's not their fault.

Or doyou think it's something else, like Buddism's 'karma' or something like that.


Me, I'm undecided.

Interesting subject DT.  There seem to be so many gay and bi younger people today - maybe because your generation (most of you anyway) appear to be more accepting of the sexual orientation of your peers.  There seem to be just as many females as males who prefer the same sex.

I used to think it was genetic.  So many gay males have these unusual eyes which seems to distinguish them from heterosexual males - even before they become sexually active, so there could be a chromosone that hasn't quite developed properly.  Now I'm not too sure and body language seems to be the main identifying feature.

But i highly doubt it's genetic. I just think people are using the genetic excuse to justify being gay. in other words, they use the excuse of "it's not my fault, i can't control who i am".

Give me a break, if u want to be gay, go ahead, but don't give me that crap. being gay is a lifestyle choice, nothing more.

A very small percentage of gays are born gay.

I have a family member that fits into this classification.
He played with dolls and dressed up as a girl all the time as a young child.

However many gays are simply rebellious and looking for a CAUSE.
Exactly why we have this "I can be whatever gender I want to be" we see today.
They are attempting to shock or are attention getters to bring attention to themselves.

On the whole though, this propensity for homosexuality is a mental illness.
Something is wrong with these people.
Be it that they crave attention, feel disenfranchised or simply rebelling, its a mental problem requiring help.

Its a fact that most of these gays or gender fluid people are on drugs (prescribed and otherwise) alcoholics, have serious mental health issues, suicidal, bipolar or simply twisted.
Surely this is an indicator that something is wrong with them.

They need help and our sympathy, not blind acceptance.
Blind acceptance has lead to homosexuality being more "normal"
So the boundaries have to be pushed further to be SHOCKING
Hence the gender fluidity movement we now see.

And as that becomes "Normal" how much further will we allow this mental illness to progress.

When you have family, friends and workers who are gay, you get to know a bit about them.

And see their problems.

As they age they live a sad life, My family member is now living by himself with few friends as he is not attractive any more and his proclivity for multiple partners has left him with none who cares any more.

He lives most of his days in the bottle now.

It who shall not be named made a bet that if it proved it served, I would not abuse, denigrate or insult abbos or Muzzos for one month.

It has now got this twisted idea in its head that that means no abuse, insulting or denigrating anyone.
It has no idea what its doing at the best of times.

Then it made a comment about me which was disgusting in the extreme to do with children.
It should have been banned for that alone, somehow it has managed to get away with it.

So it presented a couple of pictures of someone who it claims to be it.
Stupidly it has even said, that its brother, who we have never heard of, deems this picture factual.

So, even though it cannot be trusted to tell the truth if its life depended on it.
And even though the "evidence" is at best DUBIOUS.
I have decided to honor the bet and post no derogatory comments about abbos or muzzos for one month.
I keep my bets, unlike groggy who never does.

But this isn't enough for the resident lying, slimy traitor.
