Crikey if these cyclones keep comming its gunna wreck my health.Just getting over the last cyclone party and now we have to have another one

Yes it must be a worry for you if you live in a cyclone prone area. My son has been living in Cairns for a year and experienced the same.

Those of us down south who only have to worry about strong winds and electrical storms definitely have it easy, but you wonder how you'd cope if a cyclone did hit.

Have been thru about 11 in my life with varying degrees of ferocity to catergory4 and some have been very scary indeed.The houses here are built to a standard with the bathrooms given extra strength to act as a mini bunker.Even if you lose your roof the walls SHOULD withstand the winds and you will only get wet.Unfortunatley for the poor people at that camp that got blown away on thursday the bloody dongas were not even secured to the ground.Very bad blue that.They all have tie down points and for these not to be used is a serious blunder.

Boof, that is a serious blunedr about the dongas..I have family who are out that way..its a worry..

Have been in a ciouple myself a few yrs ago. QLD..very frightening..

Good luck boof..Do you have shelter to escape too if things get very bad?

They have one in Pt Hedland I believe?

Might be sooner.
Might gain strength with that system up north too.
