How does one get a link to work?..

I click on them and they dont work..what am I doing wrong?

Hi Auzgurl - nice to see you here.  If you mean the links recommended by posters, you have to copy and paste them to the address bar.   :)

Ah... just out of curiousity mantra, how do you know it's auzgurl?  :-?

I could be really cynical DT and say I'm not sure - but I will trust my instincts on this one.  There is a distinct difference.  No doubt "Mel" will find her way onto this board in disguise, but I know that I can immediately complain to Ozadmin who has assured  posters that there is a moderator who will take action and have antisocial posters banned.  

I hope for Freediver's sake this doesn't happen as this forum will be obliterated within days if she happens to "invade".

The more I use this forum - the more obvious it becomes that it has a lot to offer.  Freediver is also open to suggestions on ways to improve it - this keeps everyone happy.  :)

And "Donald Trump" how can I be sure your Donald Trump?


I joined as Avatar quite a  few weeks ago, I should have signed in here as Auzgurl then.


The glitches and bugs in Cracker right now are just rediculous, nothing works...I think the new advertising is somehow responsible.

Most links are not 'active.' If you type or copy in a URL it will not become a link, and people will have to copy and paste it. If you want people to be able to follow a link, click on the globe icon above the bold button, and paste in the URL. For example

{url}http://www.ozpolitic.com{/url}

or

{url=http://www.ozpolitic.com}OzPolitic{/url}

Replace the curly brackets with square brackets to give:

http://www.ozpolitic.com

or

OzPolitic

There is a feature that turns URLs into active links automatically, but I disabled it a while back when I was battling the spam bots. I can turn it back on if you want. I'm not sure how much it helps to prevent spam.

You can tell it's me by my political views and the writing style of my posts.

Cracker has gone down the tubes. It's a mere shadow of its former self. This forum is by far superior.

Just highlight the link Paladin and then use the "insert hyperlink" - the little blue globe in the top left hand corner - above the bold button. That makes it "live".

Don't use the FTP link button, use the hperlink button to the left of it.
